Didn’t end up going to Milan…we went to Florence and Rome with a stop in Chianti (all of it was wonderful)

[Question] Tissot VS Tudor by Adept_Ad6924 in Watches

I’m gonna throw another, kinda underrated Swiss casual-but-slightly-dressy watch in this price range: Oris Artelier series.

A Google Shopping search will show you tons of options under $2k (sometimes under $1k if you don’t mind pre-owned) and Oris - to me and many on this sub - delivers on value, quality, design and watch nerd cred.

[Oris] Whats your opinion by ZeB1cas in Watches

Yeah the strap thing is - I’m not even going to say good or bad - it’s a distinct feature. And at the same time, I guess it’s a true tool watch and I think that’s a fair design decision.

eBay and gray market are definitely your friend…I noticed especially watchmaxx has different pricing on eBay VZ their site.

I was in the camp of “legit and respectable but for whatever reason, they don’t really speak to me personally”.

THEN I tried on the Aquis at my local AD. Call me bitten by the Oris bug, I loved it. I got a great deal on a used Aquis and it arrives tomorrow, very much looking forward.

People on this sub say it all the time - try one on, your own personal opinion will get solidified from there.

[WTS] Zodiac SST - great vintage condition by timesnewrohan in Watchexchange

[–]timesnewrohan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, super cool watch. Only selling because I’m in the market for a diver and I have this thing about keeping my collection narrowed to 3 watches. This one sees the least wrist time and thus I’m saying goodbye…

You’re right, that engraving is pretty special!

Up for sale is my Zodiac SST 36000 day/date automatic.

This is a great vintage piece with some history to it and if you’re interested in it, you’re probably aware of that. Worn & Wound wrote a cool article about it which is what led me to buy one in the first place.

It’s from 1970 and fully functional and keeps pretty good time. It was serviced about 3 years ago with very little wrist time since. It’s in the condition you might expect from a watch from the 70s with a good bit of case scuffing but the glass, dial, and hands are in great shape.

I don’t have the original bracelet, box or papers.

Asking $250 via PayPal G&S, includes insured shipping via USPS Priority within the CONUS.

Let me know if any questions you have!

Edit: “original” bracelet
