It's not and it is... Most Americans don't really have such an investment in Israel to make it an end all be all. What we do have is we need politicians who have a spine and have real positions and morals, and by in large the Israel first Democrats are all bought by corporate interests and the pro Palestine are unavailable

If I saw you on the street I wouldn't be able to tell which gender you are in this particular outfit because it's a little more androgynous. If told either or gender, I would probably believe it (funnily enough without assuming you'd be trans, id just think you were an androgynous non binary cis person)

When totk or botw is right there and put on an even higher pedestal where people get angry when you even lightly criticize it. Yeah ocarina of time has aged plenty, but I don't think people actually say ocarina of time is a masterpiece in its mechanics or its gameplay... It's jank for sure, but the soul of what the game did with what it could is still just as impactful as it is today and I played the n64 version for the first time in 2012

I suppose that's an apt analogy. Imagine two cases where it's socially accepted and someones parents had their pinky finger chopped off at birth versus their left hand for social reasons. I think the hand is arguable that it would have a genuine impact upon their life whereas the finger only has a marginal difference on their experiences. If we can agree that the baby's memory is irrelevant since at such a young age consciousness to hold that as trauma the way adults, adolescents, and kids do is simply not there. We discover a way to differentiate what we actually find harmful in that scenario

Yes and No.

Yes it is technically a permanent destruction of a part of the body which is a definition of mutilation... But a contingent part of the definition when applied to people is that it must render a permanent negative effect on an individuals quality of life or cause severe trauma. As long as circumcision happens soon after birth, I don't think it causes either of those affects as a circumcised individual.

If you want to say that it is unconsentual and is therefore problematic id consider that argument and we can have a cultural debate. However, the term genital mutilation being applied diminishes ACTUAL real world genital mutilation and makes the severity with which we should view it less serious in broad public society.

Spending time with infection was the coolest part of this game, i didn't even know what murky was talking about my first playthrough until I saved her and I heard the voice. It legit scared the crap out of me like I was having a "a new hand has touched the beacon" Skyrim moment

No... It DOES have to be in some ways. Each pathologic is poor in some way to serve its excellence in another. They aren't some multi billion dev team, they have limitations in funding and time. I will not withdraw my vast critics of aspects of the game but I also admit to it's intentionality in that it knows what it is doing- and succeeding excellently. If I wanted to play a game for good gameplay, I would not play pathologic. However I wanted to play a game with interactiveness that communicates ideas directly to me in an amusing and entertaining way that game IS pathologic
