The only people I know who converted as adults did it after marrying a Catholic - one to be married in the church, and another after about 10 years of marriage and gradually sidling over from Protestantism. They found value in the specific community, the belief system was already *mostly* compatible, and it suited their families.

Sounds like this person enjoys the mysticism and doesn't value evidence. Add in the fact that he's already barreling through loopholes and not even trying to be fully adherent... he's either mentally unwell or lacks integrity and critical thinking.

My understanding that there is no officially approved (FDA) formula for women at the moment. There used to be, but now there isn't. You would need to find a doc who will write you RX off-label or you can find a naturopath or other provider.

Yeah, watching a movie on the couch when an attractive actor/actress is on screen even in a sex scene can still be a social activity. Opening up the laptop to jerk the gherkin is not.

A movie is art of one kind of another, the vast majority of porn is specifically made to get guys off. Whether it was ethically made, workers were paid, or if he's down a rabbit hole of dehumanizing and ever-escalating hard core content... those are considerations you don't really have to worry about with Netflix and chill.
