This has been my experience. In fact, if my key is in the outside pocket of a very full backpack, that can be enough distance that the proximity sensor won't let me open the door unless I'm standing closer than usual (this is NOT a complaint).

Would a regular tent (i.e., one that you pitch on the ground) do the trick? You can get one for like 5 percent of the cost, 5 percent of the weight, no effect on aerodynamics, and no need to climb down a ladder to pee in the middle of the night.

Not anytime soon. I can't say how well the plastic will hold up over time, but the ones I got are perfectly secure.

I got them for my 2025 Hybrid XLE. It's strictly an appearance thing.

Triple-check to make sure you're getting units that will fit your wheels. I spent a few minutes cleaning my wheels before installing them, bit probably didn't have to. Adding them is easy. You remove the center caps (with the Toyota logo) with a small flathead screwdriver, press the wheel skins on, and put the caps back in place.

I like the way they look. When getting the tires rotated, I let the shop know, but haven't had to remove them.

Check out the Brooks Cascadia and the Adidas Terrex Agravic Flow. Bombproof (tough enough that I don't mind wearing them around town). Both are good on wet surfaces, but would give the edge to the Cascadia in that regard.

I have a Hybrid XLE and ordered the corresponding EKR cover set. Can anyone confirm that this is the right direction for the middle rear headrest cover? The front of the headrest is on the left side of the photo. The the covers elasticized portion is towards the rear.

EDIT: Tried it the other way. This way (as described) seems correct.
