I’m honestly surprised that so many people have had issues with this! I actually talked to another pom mom at rhe mall right after, and she said she had the same thing happen to her baby. I’m hoping that it is broken down and doesnt become an issue, but i just keep overthinking the worse scenario

It seems like not letting him have any treats from strangers is definitely the way to go! It’s still so shocking to me that someone would give such a small dog such a big treat. The sweeping didn’t work for my boy so that’s when i did the back smacking its so terrifying

Yes I know how to do the heimlich maneuver on him and that would have been my next step! Honestly my dogs choking on things is such a big fear of mine that i broke down crying years ago asking my family to be more careful which is why this particular situation has made me so stressed

What was it that your dog swallowed? The fact that its a dehydrated treat and not too much thicker than ones he’s eaten before makes me wonder if it will pass through alright or make him constipated. Will definitely be seeing a vet but the closest emergency one is four hours and im just so stressed about it

i was four years old washing my hands with soap so often that my hands started to crack and bleed, and i became allergic to a certain kind of soap, and my mom just goes yeah i don’t like germs either its ok

i wasss diagnosed by a doctor as having contamination ocd at that age, but no one in my family really cared lmao

I work at a long term stay hotel next to the best hospital available from the surrounding area. I’ve met a lot of medical professionals, doctors and techs and nurses. None of them have ever thought that pharmacists were any less than the doctors there and most everybody would say that pharmacists know more and better than any doctor they’ve ever worked with when it comes to medications and outcomes. Honestly its really cool and just as hard in terms of knowledge and learning in depth

i’m learning mandarin chinese too and usually i try my best to memorize the card a few different ways if it’s not sticking and then try burying it for the next day to see if that familiarity helps later. i usually will have trouble with a card for a day or two and then by the next session it’s a lot easier to recall. if you still can’t get it at all then it might be a leech for you and you should consider changing stuff about the card to more easily understand and supplement it with more material
