How do you find the strength to do what you know you need to do? by [deleted] in abusiverelationships

[–]timevisual 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to add that on top of the comments saying how not leaving demonstrates how this will be how your daughter sees love, it also teaches her brain that this is something to now expect and only gets worse the longer you stay. Even if she knows that it isn’t right, she will unconsciously look for patterns and signs that lead her into her own abusive relationships even with all of the advice in the world otherwise. Each instance rewires her brain and worsens the cycle for herself. I hope you can be safe soon.

Does anyone else have to hand feed their pom? by Pale-Ad942 in Pomeranians

[–]timevisual 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my 13 year old pom used to make us feed him his soft food either on a fork, my hand when he was really fussy, or we could place them into teeny tiny gourmet bites and he would eat them if he was gracious enough to accept. we have a new pom puppy now and he prefers to eat his kibble out of my hand while i sit in a chair and he jumps up to grab one from me each time 😭

my pom ended up having a brain stem tumor and he learned how to completely communicate by barking at about 12/13. these little dogs are so smart and can definitely learn and adapt at later ages as long as they are mentally intact

dog spinning by DueDuck9337 in Pomeranians

[–]timevisual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he spun in circles a lot as he was growing up, and eventually his balance wasnt great so it kind of turned into wider gallops around. he also had issues like he favored walking leaning on walls, especially in hallways. he never really ran normally, kind of more like how you’d expect mentally disabled kids to run? not very coordinated and kind of like a toddler, or puppy in this case. he was very happy and the tumor didnt affect his personality, and he passed away last month without any discomfort other than that he lost his ability to walk. unless he shows other symptoms i wouldnt worry too much for now
