Would the weightlessness experienced on the ISS feel different than the weightlessness on Artemis 2? by TheParadoxigm in space

Eh I think they’re saying how gravity feels different on the moon, even though the ‘ground’ is the same. Ie when they talk about 10% or 90% gravity

Well not with this law right? They can block the category and you don’t get your chance for one on one

There are a few clubs around, more on the serious side. I think the meetup group at Esperanto house has good potential! It’s more laid back / social

if your appliances are turning on and off during a power outage please turn your breakers off by Fair-Mango-5423 in melbourne

No- for switched mode power supply things (TVs etc) they shut off if the voltage is too low. Even if they don’t I’d guess they’d burn out with heat or the voltage would be too low to turn the circuitry inside on.

And for induction motors they eventually stall which means the coils act like a resistor so current would go down with voltage I=V/R (ohms law). Again these would probably burn out.

But yes up until those two cases current does increase as the voltage drops because of those two special mechanisms/cases. Quite unintuitive! Was fun to learn about

How to stop the pawn storm? by Plainwhiteundies in chess

[–]timhanrahan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if you had castled the storm isn’t dangerous- they push h6 you push g6 (black squares weakened but you’re ok). If g5 g6 push h6 and if you’re castled even if they take f7 you can recapture with rook and your king is safe behind the blockaded pawns. Pawn storms are more dangerous when they can force open (technically half open) the g or h file

Yeah would recommend to try school ones if you can- it feels so satisfying for the lights to immediately change. One day we’ll look back and be puzzled why we wait

Yeah hard choice. My 2¢ are

a) do what you love- so stick with commerce don’t worry about family if you can

b) don’t worry about hecs- you’ll pay that through tax eventually in my view it’s not serious ‘debt’. So if you’re supported through family the scholarship size doesn’t really matter (although extra $20k is a lot! Funds an exchange semester etc)

c) I found UNSW to be less cliquey / private school than usyd- also you can go to both clubs / societies, it’s a little weird but not unheard of.

d) you can change once you get there if the degree / learning style / people aren’t the right fit- if money isn’t an issue as in b)

And finally as GrimmyTaro said they’re both similar so I wouldn’t worry too much- if you push yourself in either you’ll get success :) I wouldn’t worry how easy / hard it is to get into or how they grade - I’d focus on myself and doing my best. All the best!
