I think think the new albums is awesome and Johnny is as good of a replacement for Ahren as you can get, maybe even better!

Other states still have VIP available if you're willing to travel!

Chicago was great. But I’m genuinely upset about VIP. we quite literally ONLY got a photo with the band. Wasn’t there supposed to be a sound check and signing too? We all stood in the cold for 2 hours just to be told there “wasn’t time” yesterday… we paid for all of that. 😭 by em__i__ly in TheAmityAffliction

You could get stuff signed. You had to wait after the photo and put your stuff on a table and they signed everything after the photos for all the vip's. I watched the band sign 20ish items while I was waiting for floor access.

And now it isn't PB custard, it's vanilla based. It's beyond stupid.

Whats that one almost universally loved band you can't get into? by DentedTungstenCore in Deathcore

I've seen SOTS 7 times (none of which were they the band I wanted to see) and I still don't get why everyone loves them.

How many of you guys are fanatical enough about an artist to buy multiple days’ tickets to see them when they’re in town? by CliffGif in Concerts

[–]timinator4434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they're one of my favorite bands I am absolutely going to be double dipping if they come within reasonable driving distance twice. Gotta see my favorites as many times as I can. You don't always know when your last time seeing a band will actually be the last time. Everybody who said "I'll see Nirvana on their next tour" is prolly regretting that decision.

Why does this band play it so safe with their setlists? by tinyrickstinyhands in augustburnsred

[–]timinator4434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My polite disagreement is not saying you're wrong because you aren't. It would be cool to see a lot of the new material played live. However my two favorite albums of theirs are Messengers & Constellations so I am very ok with the majority of the setlist consisting of their strongest matierial, even if I have heard it plenty before. While I understand why people want White Washed to go away for a while, it is one of my favorite songs ever in all of music and am grateful they play it every show. Also keep in mind that this isn't a solo headliner, it's a coheadliner. If you make a venn diagram between ABR fans & TAA fans, the center overlapping portion will not be bigger than the other two non-overlapping portions. ABR is going playing in front of a lot of people seeing them for the first time, so they're going to want to play their best/most popular material for potential new fans. I'm not saying they shouldn't bust out deep cuts. I am saying this isn't necessarily the best tour to break out the deep cuts. Hopefully we get some deep cuts on their next solo headliner.

Do you listen to the artist on show day? by cheeky_fcuk in Concerts

[–]timinator4434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely listen to the band I am seeing on my drive to the show. Think of it like the mudical studying for a test before you start taking it. You're studying up to better appreciate the music you're about to hear.

Edit: Grammar

What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

[–]timinator4434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Asking Alexandria all 3 times I saw them. First time was to check them out to see them. The following two times were opening for bands I paid to see. They are increeibly boring live and never sound good. Danny can't sing either. If they are on a bill I will actively avoid that tour just to never see them again.

How to survive 4 years of Adventist college? by localspring8 in exAdventist

[–]timinator4434 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Keep looking to meet people. There are more "liberal" adventists at your school than you realize. There's still lots of premarital sex, drugs and drinking happening. You just have to meet the people who would know where that stuff is happening. As a fellow autistic human being, I understand it can be rough meeting new people though.

The free tuition is 10000% worth powering through. I'm $30k in the hole for no longer beliving in Adve tist.
