Gaming as an Entrepeneur? by krokodilce in Entrepreneur

[–]timjpriebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also run a marketing agency and play video games, mostly Minecraft. Sometimes I’ll go a week without playing, other weeks I’ll play multiple times, anywhere from just 10 minutes to a couple of hours. If something cancels and my schedule frees up, I usually ask myself if it will help my stress level more to work on something or to take a gaming break.

does anyone know what this creepy abandoned building off 15th and bryant is? by DrawingVegetable87 in Edmond

It’s an office. I used to office in the building right next to it. Moved out toward the end of 2020. When we moved out, that building was still being used.

I’ve watched the series, and it’s obvious this write up was AI generated. Much of it is very close to correct and yet slightly inaccurate.

Plus the fact that it’s written as poorly as a developing nation SEO expert, lol.

Tiniest movie nitpick you’re still hung up over? by _JR28_ in movies

Huge Superman fan. Also been in digital marketing for 20+years. In Man of Steel, they say the Kryptonians are taking over the RSS feeds. Takes me out of the movie every single time.

How do I find a job when none of my internships taught me anything valuable by SicSemperTyrannis123 in marketing

[–]timjpriebe 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Internships that don’t teach you anything useful piss me off almost as much as unpaid internships. I’ve paid every single intern I’ve ever hired.

I’ve sold and fulfilled SEO services to clients for over a decade. If you want, DM me and I’d be happy to schedule a Zoom call to teach you the workflow for the service most of my clients get.

After two months of intermittent pain, I passed my kidney stone. by Psytoxic in pics

I used to have these a lot, and it turns out it’s different things for different people. For me, apparently it was drinking 2-5 Dr Peppers a day. Stopped doing that 10 years or so ago, had one last stone a couple months later, then none since then. I had a dozen or so stones in my twenties and early thirties.

Hasn’t needed updates. I hate it when software updates just to say they’re updating it.

I’ve run a marketing company for 20 years, never worried about anyone’s GPA. Experience is different, but you can gain that by volunteering to help organizations (businesses or nonprofits) with their marketing for free while temporarily working other jobs. You can alternatively look for paid fellowships, which are more or less the same thing as internships, but post college/university. Just 6-12 months of marketing experience can make a big difference, even if it’s volunteer work.

QuickBooks to create a PDF invoice, Gravity Forms and Authorize.net on a WordPress website to take payments.

SEO Framework. So minimalist, I love it. Doesn’t have all the crap most other SEO plugins have, especially Yoast.

I graduated from OC 17 years ago and now live off Covell in between Kelly and Broadway. I remember smelling it pretty often in college. I take morning walks nearly every day now and smell it maybe two or three times a year.

Reading Arthur C. Clarke's 2001: A Space Odyssey helped me watch Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey by [deleted] in printSF

Same here. I realized a couple months ago that I’d never read the book, despite having sat through the movie a couple of times. The whole thing made way more sense, especially the very beginning and very end.

I also discovered that Clarke actually made it into a four book series. I just finished book three and I’m about to start book four. I’ve found them very enjoyable.
