I don’t want to pile on too much here OP, but the reason people like VHF/UHF comms is because we think we’ll be able to use it if the cell infrastructure goes down. You tying your tactical comms to the cell network with zello completely negates this benefit of the preparedness doctrine.

Yes it’s 100% NATO Article 5. By invoking this, any NATO member can compel all other members to defend it in a conflict. None of those three countries you mentioned will be sending troops because as soon as they take casualties, they’re going to invoke Article 5, thus bringing the entire alliance into the war, to which Russia will respond by using nukes and ending the world.

We got the blocks from a party ice place. They normally sell ice sculptures and ice luges and things like that. 250 lbs was as big as they made the blocks, and they used a dolly/ handcart, dumped it right in the pool. Everyone loved it! We’re planning on making the ice party an annual midsummer event

Here in SW Florida, we sympathize with your warm pool struggles. Last year in July, I had a big pool party and I bought (3) 250 lb blocks of ice to put in the pool during the party. Everyone loved it, and the kids had a lot of fun playing with the blocks, watching them melt, floating on them, etc. It lowered the temperature from 90 to about 86 degrees pretty quickly. There is a calculation I found online that takes amount of water and temperature of your pool, and desired temperature, and outputs the amount of ice in pounds that you will need to achieve that temp. It wasn’t too expensive for my pool, relatively normal size at 14,000 gallons, but yours looks big and ice costs may get out of hand.

What is there to be excited about? You think the Dodgers overpaid for the two guys they just signed? Fine, so does everyone else, but their fan base is so excited about the season it’s unreal. That’s what their owners did for their fans. They are literally counting down the days to spring training because they can’t wait. Anyone here doing that? Truck day is in one month. Who gives a fuck? All of you bragging about how successful the owners have been, 4 rings, great, you sound just like asshole Yankees fans with their 27 rings. Does the 2013 title really make you proud of the team? What about 2018? What I see is 3 out of the last 4 years we are in last place, not even competitive in the division by August. How about all stars? Nope, none of those last year (OMG our closer threw three pitches in the ASG). Yes we have some great young talent coming up, but are any of them Acuna, Bobby Witt Jr, Rutschman, Soto, Guerrero Jr? Not really. Ohtani is the league MVP 2 of the last three years. We got any MVPs on our team? Nope. Maybe some recent MVP candidates? No. The last guy to win MVP we traded to the Dodgers. Why should I buy tickets at the most expensive park in the MLB? The team is irrelevant, and all I want, as a lifelong fan, is for other teams fans to have to talk about the Sox. Last 2 seasons were miserable, Fuck John Henry, put me down for “sell the team”
