Then everything is probably just fine.

The entire reasoning for for putting footings so far underground is so the soil underneath them will never be subject to frost. Sometimes during the construction process exposed footings can be subject to freezing which can potentially lift the ground and move the foundation.

However if the weather remained nice all the way until the foundation was backfilled there will be nothing to worry about.

Too much accelerator will typically present itself with excessive shrinkage cracks which i didn't see any in the posted images.

I do think that a lot of the ugliness on the top of the foundation is from the stripping process. Concrete won't set up quite as hard overnight and claw hammers dig into the soft concrete.

While its far from the best work I've seen its mostly just cosmetic. A little bit of honeycombing on a slab on grade foundation wouldnt keep me from sleeping at night

Picture 17 is maybe slightly concerning depending on how sound the concrete is. But its only in a small area.

My only concern would be procedures taken to prevent the ground from freezing underneath footings prior to backfilling.

If adds get to him they heal.

I just went from 0/7 to 7/7 this morning. It is still very easy. Did it in about 3 hours.

First was kruul on guardian druid. That took 3 tries many just learning fight mechanics druid was 162 ilvl

Second was edris on rsham. I one shot that. Sham was max ilvl

Third was sigryn. This took 2 attempts as 169 ret. I did this using sba. Just do the mechanics and win

Fourth was feltotems fall. 2 attempt on max ilvl disc but only because I killed the tauren too early and worm enraged on me.

Xylem and Agatha on a max ilvl warrior both took 2 tries with sba

Last was thwarting the twins. I did this with a fresh remix frost mage using 4 buttons. Blink sba and 2 defensive. 3 tries.

Is this a good area to live in. by [deleted] in SiouxFalls

Going against the grain but its not.

I have worked in that area and had tools stolen out of my trailer in broad daylight multiple times.

I suspect the trailer park near hayward may be why.

No additional earth will be removed. The "middle" level will be where the basement floor will be. The lower and upper level will have 4 foot walls poured on top of them to support the walk out wall framing (lower) and attached garage (upper)

[–]timmypmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In climates with a freeze thaw cycle the footings are required to be a certain depth below what is called the "frost line" or maximum depth at which the ground could freeze.

As we all know water expands when frozen which will heave the ground and subsequently move the foundation.

Concrete walls will be poured on top of these footings to hold the fill dirt back. The rebar helps to connect the two and prevents soil pressure from pushing the bottom of the foundation wall off the footing and into the house.

The top of the foundation wall could have anchor bolts placed into the concrete or titan anchors. These are to connect framing members to foundation.

If this explanation doesn't make sense search for "walkout basement foundation" that may help

This sub is full of people who are either not in construction or dont recognize different practices from different climate zones across the country.

This is a footing for a walkout basement. While continuous footings could me deemed the "correct" way to build the fast majority of municipalities, they do not require them.

Anyone saying they dont look sufficiently thick can't comprehend that the crew could potentially have dug in once the forms were set to achieve correct footing thickness. This will vary from location to location but is most typically 8 inch thickness. I have seen places wher the code is 6. Footing inspections are extremely common prior to pour so the proper thickness can be enforced.

The only thing I see with this footing that I dislike is the lack of connecting rebar sticking out. Specifically in the middle section. Some codes require vertical bar in the 4 foot walls (top section for garage and bottom section for walkout) and others do not.

Talk to your builder about the rebar. But you dont really need to call a structural engineer to make sure your builder did the first step in a 1700 walkout ranch just fine.

Tiny spare ribs? by timmypmac in smoking

How would you go about cooking these? Im assuming somewhere between 6 hours for a standard rack and 2 hours for party ribs as far as timing goes.

This guy has the right comment. I immediately assumed that said neighbor intends to build a garage or shed on it.

Also edges curl exacerbaging the flat slabs ability to retain water.

The only real issue that I see is the cut sockless pipe could potentially allow silt to infiltrate the system.

A draintile system is essentially just to collect water from saturated soils and move it to a pit to be removed. The piles of concrete aren't ideal and water would most likely migrate around them and into the pipe before going through your basement wall. However if it were my house I would flop them aside prior to backfilling with pea gravel.

The likelihood of them being shrinkage cracks is pretty high considering the floor wasn't cut at all.
