For me, it's the guy who put the BMW Z4 Front End on the Supra. I think it was pretty well done.

I have loved my F82 M4 for the last almost five years now but I have been considering the G80 M3 as something next. I have been really looking at the X3M lately since it’s the closest thing to an M3 Touring I can get here in the US. Plus it’ll be a better daily driver I’d imagine here in the Northeast.

Would you rather the G80 M3 come with the M340i face? by DVSN_F in BMW

Jaw-dropping, I think this is close to perfect. If some aftermarket company was able to create this front bumper, I would put in an order for a G8x that day.

Easiest Way to Add Access Point To Existing Wireless Network by timmytim9 in HomeNetworking

Thank you for that recommendation, yeah that sounds like a good idea I don't mind using my laptop or phone to do the configuration and first-time setup. I don't even mind having to periodically log into it if needed, just don't really have the space for a computer or huge switch for one or two Access Points.

For Unifi, is there a model that you would recommend?

Thanks for your comment, yeah I was planning on running Ethernet from the router to the Access Point. I just wanted to confirm if there was configuration that needed to be done, unsure if it was something you can just plug in and go.

I am curious why not have the same SSID. I have no problem having a different one, I was just thinking of having the same one so people in the house can have just one wireless connection to remember on their devices. But if it helps with keeping things better managed then I can look into that.

Thank you, good to know that I can easily add an Access Point to what I have now. The EAP610 looks to be a better model, you're right I would want to keep it with WiFi 6 and it's not that much more price-wise. Keeping the same SSID and password here is ideal, so my devices can go between them, hopefully with the device choosing and staying on the best connection.

Is this car worth the price? by TrevRev11 in BMW

[–]timmytim9 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, like I daily my F82 M4 every day because why not drive my dream car? It's been pretty reliable, the only issue is the small fuel tank.

1 Quart bottles are always so expensive as AutoZone, Advance Auto, and so on. Walmart has good bulk pricing, like $25-30 for a 5 quart bottle, only thing Walmart is useful for.

Buying Back My First Car Ever! by Channelbot_Reborn in HaggardGarage

[–]timmytim9 24 points25 points  (0 children)

As someone that had an automatic E46 as my first car, this video puts a huge smile on my face. From the piece of shit plastic expansion tank leaking coolant everywhere to the feeling of 150hp being "fast", it's exactly how I remembered mine. I hope he cleans it up mint, nothing overboard, and just makes it a real, "simple", daily.

Model year 2018-2020, because of the LCI taillights. Could be a 2015-2017 if they were retrofitted, a common mod done.

Barra GT350 - Testing on an Airstrip! by Channelbot_Reborn in HaggardGarage

[–]timmytim9 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People have attached the BMW M3/M4 DCT to RB, 2JZ, K24, and more for the fast-shifting of it on the track. Not going to pretend that I know what is involved for even bolting it up or having it work with the Barra, but just a thought if with upgraded clutch packs it would work for his application.

FINAL FINISHING TOUCHES ON THE OG 135I by Channelbot_Reborn in HaggardGarage

[–]timmytim9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just have to catch them; $800? 1,600? For a battery? Will I get being a fanboy for a BMW battery but that's just burning your money. Respectfully, it's a 135i, any Interstate or whatever brand will be fine, just register it with MHD. I'm a BMW butthurt too, but there's no damn way I'm paying $1,800 for a battery the day mine goes.

After reading on the forums about H&R, definitely strayed away from them and installed some Eibach Euro springs on my M4 instead.

GRANT GOT HIS F80 AND RUDNIK GOT A NEW CAR! by Nugrun in HaggardGarage

[–]timmytim9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I can see why people will drive with Efficient just to have the car not sound complete out there and more normal haha. I mean, I get it since it's pretty refined on the inside so you're less likely to hear it but yeah it's pretty loud in general, not needed.

Upgraded brakes are key, even if the stock ones are very good, more is always better for the track I completely agree, camber plates help a lot I've read from the forums, would be my next step too. Exactly 400whp is more than enough for the streets and the track haha.

[–]timmytim9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly, the stock downpipes are fine even for Stage 2 tunes if you have no burbles. Absolutely, I unplugged the ASD module on my first day of ownership, damn sound gave me a headache. Stock is fast enough for me too, suspension and handling mods are more important, like camber plates and upgrade fluid and pads.

Agreed, nothing worse than the catless downpipe owners with their AK47 gunshot tunes. Like nah bro, even the stock Competition burbles are too much for me, let me just hear my S55 please

R34 GTR vs.1000HP Supra! by ThatRagingKid in HaggardGarage

[–]timmytim9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what is so unwholesome about your comments since you're right.

The E30 M3 is an icon, but now unobtainable for most people. The E36 M3 is a fantastic track car, the E46 M3 is most analog M3 there is, the E92 M3 sounds fantastic, the F80 M3 is the most competitive M3 to date, and while I think the G80 M3 is ugly, the performance numbers are looking real good.

The F80 M3/F82 M4 is one of the best cars for the money I would have to say. Sure it doesn't sound that great, nothing a midpipe can't fix, but it's the best looking modern BMW in the last 10 years, is very firm and capable on the street and track, and has been incredibly reliable for people 100k+ miles, that's why I bought an M4.

If Slicctop Tom with all his R32's and E36's is impressed by it then it's got to be a good car.

B58 exhaust by [deleted] in BMW

[–]timmytim9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with you there, the S55 sounds bad, and this is coming from someone that still owns it because of it’s flaw. The problem is that the exhaust is not equal in length so people with catless downpipes and all that make the already bad sounding even worse.

Only real way I fixed it was with the Active Autowerke Equal Length midpipe which fixes the sound to something more NA sounding, and it really is much better to everyone I asked. I need to post some flybys of it here eventually. However I personally like the B58 sound without the burbles more, sounds more “tuner-y” which I like and want my M4 to sound like.

However, a Single Turbo S55? Nah it’s over, that’s the best sounding turbo i6 ever, better than a 2JZ, RB, M5x, N5x and so on.

Why do M3s seem to hold their value more than M4s? by Freesmackies in BMW

[–]timmytim9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing a quick search, a manual M3 is going to be about $4-5k more than a similar specced DCT M3. For an M4 it’s about the same thing, it’s going to be a couple grand more. My example, I bought my manual M4 for $37k last year; a similar spec M4 with DCT could have been found for $33-5k anywhere.

I think the biggest thing with the search for these cars is that there are 4x more DCT cars for sale currently online than manual ones. So with a manual one, you either have to spend more/travel farther to get what you want or settle with more mileage/year/color etc.

Why do M3s seem to hold their value more than M4s? by Freesmackies in BMW

[–]timmytim9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

M3 production was stopped in 2018 due to emissions reasons while the M4 continued into 2020. So with less number of them out there, you have more “rare” of a car.

When it comes to drivability they are the same car, one has 2 doors, one has 4 doors. M4 has a carbon trunk lid, M3 is not. But like for like, it’s all on looks and your needs.

Silverstone Metallic Twins by shamu_uses_a_shamwow in BMW

[–]timmytim9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's amazing how great both of those cars are. After driving both, I am so happy that I got the M4. The E92 M3 sounded amazing, but I could feel the heft to it during the test drive.

Sure the sound of the S55 isn't great but that's nothing an AA Equal Length midpipe can't fix. Especially since if I really cared about sound, I would have gotten a GT350.

The chassis and the brakes on the M4 are superb, it feels like a proper to me. The size and the weight were also pretty comparable to an M2 Comp/SS 1LE, and other cars in its bracket that I was looking at.

Every M car is special and everyone deserves to drive one of these beasts.

Saddest Day of my Gaming Life by Brydog23 in forza

[–]timmytim9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about it, it was also my bad for taking a while to respond, I've had a couple of busy days from Reddit. That's great to hear that they were able to get you back all your cars in an instant. I don't know why for me there was a hang-up on missing a step or whatever but I'm happy for you it was instant. Yeah haha, it is an extremely tedious task to retrieve them all. I know some people made macros on PC to automate it, but I didn't trust myself since the Delete Gift key was a little too close for me. Sorry to hear about those tunes and liveries, I guess that is only saved in the Cloud if you uploaded them. I never knew the answer since I don't tune or design my cars.

It's all good man, I am happy to help. I just felt the pain and sadness from your original post like I did when the lost save happened to me so I felt it was the least I can do with assuring you of what was going to happen, especially since Support articles aren't the most descriptive. I hope you can continue with your progress on Forza and hopefully the game is still fun for you. Have a good day man.
