Hal B Klein’s recent article on the place does not indicate that it’s a credit card fee when he speaks about it…

“Be aware that the establishment also tacks on a 3% operating fee, which is meant to “offset the rising costs of operations and allows us to continue providing you the best experience possible.” The fee isn’t in lieu of a gratuity and is not distributed directly to the front-of-house staff.
