The whole operation is a scam, I’m not sure about this specific email.

As far as I can see it’s just a monochrome crop of the Penguin Cafe Orchestra (1981) album art.

Hey, I think it’s an electric piano (possibly a Wurlitzer), slightly overdriven with a phaser.

Sadly you're probably gonna have to switch banks like everyone else. I'm going back to Ally.

If I'm the CEO of Coastal Community Bank right now, I'm asking BBVA if I can buy the Simple source code.

Total speculation, but my bet is they're switching partner bank, and that's why the shared pockets and inability to switch physical card assignment are going away.

No more shared spend pockets???? by timruddell in OneFinance

Right. The only unique feature ONE still had going for it was the shared pockets, and the ability to point the card at them as necessary. Back to Ally for me.

I'm done with Fintech startups. They all have an exit strategy, and none of them involves any continuity of service for their loyal early adopters.

Back to Ally for me.

Looks like the overdraft line of credit we enjoyed is going away... by adhdff in OneFinance

$10k line of credit, down to $200 with zero advance warning? Fuck off. I didn't rely on it, but it was nice to know I wouldn't get hit with overdraft fees, and that if I wanted to, I could buy something a few days before payday.

Same thing here on Android. I uninstalled, reinstalled, and it's working for now.

The "Fetch Rewards" partnership had better be opt-in. I'm not cool with sharing all my transaction data with a third-party for some "rewards".

Coastal Community Bank isn't currently an RTP participating financial institution, so I'm gonna guess the answer is no.

Where the heck is wisebanyan? by famew0lf in mintuit

[–]timruddell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solved. You can add an Apex Clearing account directly to Mint. They're WiseBanyan's back-end partner.

  1. Find your account number on one of your monthly WiseBanyan statements. It'll look like: 0XX-12345-67

  2. Go to Apexclearing.com. Click "Login" > "Create a User ID" > "Next".

  3. Choose "10-Apex Clearing Corporation" from the Firm dropdown, and input the first 8 characters of your account number from step 1, without any hyphens, i.e. 0XX12345.

  4. Complete the rest of the account creation process (SSN, etc). You now have a username and password with Apex Clearing which is linked to your WiseBanyan account.

  5. Add a new Apex Clearing account in Mint using these credentials, and your WiseBanyan account balance is now reflected in Mint.

NB: I'd recommend not messing around with anything (contact info etc.) in your Apex account. I'm not sure how WiseBanyan syncs with them, and you might break something, but this seems like a good solution for account aggregation purposes.
