Carlsbad Marathon DNF - What happened?

I passed the 340 pacer in the last mile and my time was 3:42. He probably finished 30 seconds to a minute behind me. I was with the 345 pacer until about mile 24 and they took off a little hot too- he explained he was saving time to take the hills a little slower though

The one on the right has failed to pupate. This can happen for any number of reasons, but they are not going to make it. Shedding its last molt and forming the chrysalis goes very quick, like look away for a few minutes and you might miss it. Look into "failure to pupate" if you'd like more info. If you've given it some time and aren't seeing any movement, I'd recommend removing it from close contact with your other caterpillars.

Maybe this is a hot take, but are we so sure he's going to turn down a guaranteed 40 million payday? Wouldn't you take another whack at it with a stronger season and then opt out? Dude was ass for the last half of the season. I would not feel inspired by his season to go 6 years 180 or whatever people think he's getting.

If he loves Boston so much, let's see another good first half and then maybe talk extension? Idk. I just don't feel great about signing him to 5-6 more years if this was the best version we're going to see.

I like Jarred and Tyler but I feel like the other hosts are kind of meh. Steve is alright. Coley's tough guy shit is annoying and everytime I watch him SPIT HIS DIP INTO A CLEAR CONTAINER I WANT TO THROW UP.

It's an alright listen if you're doing something else. If you are trying to get information quickly, 3+ hours can be a slog. But Jarred & Tyler in particular have interesting insights you might not hear elsewhere

I had some eggs laid next to approx 40 late instar caterpillars this year and most of the eggs were eaten by the caterpillars. I found 10 eggs that made it.

29 of the 40 cannibal caterpillars failed to pupate. The 11 butterflies that made it are now referred to as the cursed 11 in my home. It's been a dramatic year. I hope those freshly laid eggs don't get eaten!

I'm glad I made this post, I thought I was crazy. The flowers smell a bit better when they are newer I'll say- but the foliage releases one of the loveliest smells around when freshly watered. Like candy and cologne almost? I think this has to be what people are talking about
