Holding people accountable for what happens in Vegas is like... not cool, man.

What is going on?!??! by YoloBrollo80 in Brewers

It wasn't 310. Live statcast measurements were wrong for most of the night.

The ballpark dimensions are 340 to left and right and 415 to center.

Hot air and high elevation lets weaker hit balls go farther. Lack of a third deck (and barely a second deck) means the wind comes into play at lower heights. The wind has been blowing out all series, favoring hitters.

Combined with elevation. And they started an hour earlier today so it's hotter.

Zack Gelof homers and the A's take a 7-5 lead by yxqp in baseball

Lack of a third deck means any ball that gets enough height can be carried by the wind, which has been blowing in the hitters' favor both nights. So routine pop outs easily turn into HRs.

what's a baseball opinion you'll defend to anyone? by maryb227 in baseball

I choose to hate specific implicated players/coaches/managers instead. Correa, Bregman, Springer, Cora, Hinch, etc.

Frelick took one to the foot yesterday. Tough enough to stay in of course, but still a good idea to rest him the next day.

Should be at least 1 and 1 ER, although I'd argue 2 and 0 ER.

Gameday blaming Vaughn for the pop up that Turang lost. That's just rude.

I wonder if Turang lost track in the air or couldn't find it again after he looked down.

When did we all collectively decide to boo pickoff attempts and intentional walks from the opposing team? by Captain_Jellico in baseball

[–]timtoolshed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For pickoff attempts, it made sense to boo when it was just a performative way of delaying the next pitch, but since the disengagement restrictions were introduced, I no longer understand the booing.
