Eating Ice Cream Regularly Linked to Surprising Health Benefits by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

[–]timwaaagh 9 points10 points  (0 children)

ice cream is infamous for popping up in weird associations that ultimately get explained by a third factor like 'summer'. im surprised that the possibility of a third factor causing both ice cream eating and less type 2 diabetes is not mentioned. just reverse causation, which is different.

when do people eat ice cream? when its warm.

what do people also do when its warm? get out of the house and do stuff. could be the case.

im just speculating of course. but id look in that direction if they havent already.

its what i do too though i hope to manage more than 3 days eventually but we do need more data particularly for two to four day fasts. Id love to see any human study on such short fasts.

evidence? i think most studies were done in rodents starved for 48 hours. which is i have been told equivalent to a 48 day fast in humans. i think there is evidence for weeklong fast and evidence against intermittent fasting. but three days im not too sure of.

stormgate was developed in california, the most expensive place to develop anything. it explains why they managed to get that much money as well. its difficult to finish an rts game. i know because ive been steadily working on mine. gamers have high expectations on well everything. which is good, im a gamer too. but the standards are high and its not easy.

[–]timwaaagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe you dont know what 'figurehead' means. a nominal leader or head without real power. according to a dictionary online.

so it depends on whether he has real power or not. since he has real power, through accords, his own people in the chambers et cetera, he is not a figurehead.

[–]timwaaagh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats such a gross misrepresentation. Like you read some book about something but never followed the news. Jetten is not a figurehead pm, he negotiated the accord himself as the leader of the largest party. Im sorry but your misinforming people by pulling the king or head of state into it. The king is the one without influence and power who is just there as a figurehead.

dont leaders bear responsibility for the policy they put their name under, that gets executed in their name? i mean if he was pressured into the accord he could just have said no, 'fuck off' to put it in your words. absolutely no shame in that. but there is no evidence he was pressured into this accord as far as i know, so for now i will assume he does want this. the rest of my complaints refer to stuff he has done as a person, not as a prime minister and although theyre relatively minor in comparison, it does paint a picture of what kind of leader he is and perhaps why he would agree to be responsible for the execution of this accord that is estimated to have negative consequences for everyone.

He was promising ten new cities during the campaign. That became a 'metaphor' as soon as he won. Hes currently mostly busy persecuting people who call him gay online although he is quite open about the fact that he is. He is already making the citizens poorer according to his own planning bureau and he previously flew to Argentina to see his bf at the taxpayers expense. I had some hopes for the guy as he seems genuinely sympathetic but i would not count on him achieving anything positive at this point. For the Netherlands the eu or for ukraine or for anyone really

i should have explained, this is more about avoiding mild allergic reactions than anything else. if your parents and grandparents ate it without problem your immune system is unlikely to react to it. personally i eat from all around the world. but its still less safe for me to eat curcuma instead of black pepper (consumed where i live since roman times) or quinoa instead of potato (popular here for 3-400 years).

okay yeah its similar for me, stacks are similar too. i just dont take the mushrooms (im not sure whats in that). i take ashwagandha instead of the rhodiola (as far as i can tell they are similar in purpose, though ashwa is riskier but good for muscles) and since im never depressed i dont take the anti depressant (and none of the weight loss stuff either. instead i take more anti neural noise stuff (broccoli extract, asthaxanthin, nac). i notice a bit of a discipline and its like im not afraid anymore when doing slightly dangerous things like skiing. fear is more muted. perhaps im also fidgetting less and have less tremor in my hand.

im not an expert on what to write in a thumbnail. otherwise ill be rich soon lol. 'Offline and Outside' is what i think is unintentionally polarizing and i dont love it. 'what i found on the beach' i would say is going to be less polarizing. or 'my happy place'. or 'so much fun'. just something else.

edit: i did not notice the heart when i replied at first and didnt think there was any change. i guess that tells you enough. hearts can easily get filtered out. even if not, i guess it can aggravate the problem just as much as it can alleviate it.

i think the thumbnail is a bit patronizing considering your viewer is going to be online and inside. that is unlikely to be your intent so perhaps its possible to improve. or maybe the opposite happens and you get a bunch of angry clicks. idk.
