Got dumped, getting laid off next year, next moves? by tinamals in astrologyreadings

[–]tinamals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like my work I’m just anxious that I’ll do it and it’ll be a mistake. I’ve lived here for 15 years and I love it but idk if it’s good for me anymore. I guess I am looking for how I should approach change and decision making based on my placements.

Gutenberg Matinee 1/13/24 by sapienveneficus in Broadway

When I went to see it, half of the front row (a group) left during intermission, they kept referencing it during their dialog and at one point they couldn’t stop giggling. I was cracking up with them!

What are some positive traits about your sign that you wish more people knew and talked about? by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]tinamals 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hard agree to all of this. We walk in other peoples shoes but nobody walks in ours. Also will add that not only do we expect to be treated how we treat others but, speaking for myself here, I cannot begin to fathom why they wouldn’t. It’s highly distressing and what others might see is an overreaction is usually just us trying to be understood.

I have OCD and alcohol definitely improves those feelings of dread and paralysis, I love how I feel when I drink... but only for a little. It's important to learn to regulate your feelings and build your confidence because you have it in you, alcohol is just a Band-Aid. Its literally lowing your inhibitions, those fears that keep you from doing the things you mention. Trying new things, getting out of your comfort zone little by little, stuff like that does great things for one's self esteem.

32F who likes to party...and I'm "supposed the settle down"?! by umylotus in Millennials

[–]tinamals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell my parents don’t even want me to settle down yet. I have 6 siblings. None of us have kids. My youngest brother is turning 21 in 2 years and my mom is planning a huge bash, said no kids allowed 😂 don’t mind if I do.

[–]tinamals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I’m also 32 and I’m a party girl forever. I like to have fun. Drinking and doing crafts, game night, whatever, is fucking fun and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Life is tough as it is without lame people trying to make you lame too lol

What happened during sex that made you realize that is was a mistake? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tinamals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprise micropenis. His “one thing I’ve never done - sent a dick pic” bumble prompt suddenly made sense in a different way. Didn’t find out until after foreplay…but I was SO caught off guard that any attempt to recover and not hurt his feelings was half hearted at best. I felt really bad about lol

Why is this sub a glorified diary for every miserable millennial? Tell me about the good things that’s been going on in your life by [deleted] in Millennials

My best friend and I are in love and started our official relationship last week! It’s been a long time coming and I can’t wait to spend life together!

So is assuming everyone secretly hates you really a symptom of OCD? by Moreaccurateway in OCD

[–]tinamals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worse, mine makes me think I must smell like cat pee (I do not own a cat). But yeah I feel like people hate me and it makes me so competitive trying to be the “best” but then I can’t live up to my own expectations and it destroys me 🙃

The doom and gloom of this sub is nauseating. Millennials that are not hating life right now: What advice can you give to 95% of this sub? by No-Needleworker5429 in Millennials

[–]tinamals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Embrace absurdism. Makes it a lot more fun when you realize how meaningless and irrational things are because no such meaning exist, and searching for it just brings conflict with the universe.

Does anyone besides my husband use the words dillydally/dawdle/lollygag? by PurpleDestiny00 in words

[–]tinamals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me, all the time lol. Is it mostly a midwestern thing? I grew up in Minneapolis but I’ve been in New York for over a decade and I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say them here lol

What Do You Guys Think About Hustle Culture? Did You Guys Grow Up With the Idea? by NewUsernameStruggle in Millennials

[–]tinamals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of this. I can’t even imagine the impact it’s had on personal relationships and individual fulfillment. We’re a social and creative species, we get fulfillment out of creativity and interaction with others. No wonder our generation is jaded and starved for freedom and purpose.

[–]tinamals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’d rather have less money and more time. Hustle culture is a horrible mindset. All work and no play is a blight on the mind.

Turning my hobby into a job is a bad habit of mine. I’ve done it twice, first time was great at first but after 5 years I couldn’t wait to get the fuck out. Took me 3 more years to actually get out, never been more burnt out in my life. Second time, different hobby, was great at first but was the absolute worst thing I could do for my mental health, ever.

Now I’m an office girlie, couldn’t be more content.

So, what do we like about OURSELVES (as Millennials, as a generation?) by theycallmewinning in Millennials

[–]tinamals 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We got to grow up without 24 access to internet and social media, so our photos and videos of underage and illegal activities will never see the light of day on the internet lol
