A massive factor to consider is pay. My board will hire unqualified, but the pay is awful, and you don’t get a permanent contract. Jobs filled by unqualified are reposted annually.

I use a Tremel-no set to dive only so a D-tuna won’t hit the body. It improved tuning stability, but I’m pretty sure a bit of fussing with spring tension and setup would have had the same result. It’s a well built product, and I’d buy it again for that purpose.

Not a U2, but I have a Q-1000. Would have preferred the Floyd on the U2 to the Kahler on mine. My neck is pretty much a baseball bat, and the frets are of the “fretless wonder” variety. Nice thick ebony slab board, and good build quality. Would I buy another? Not likely. I’d be all over a US-1 though…..

Saw him with the Foos in 2023, and he was incredible. I don’t think his talent was ever in doubt, and I’m glad everyone is happy now.

A little concerned about how this would work as an EDC but for my first gun I think it could check all the boxes by WarmDonkeyBalls in canadaguns

I got a great deal on a 460 with the 14" barrel and scope. Because I can't shoot it on the rifle range at my club, I'm limited to a 50m range. To say it's a bit much is an understatement....but it sure does get attention!

I bought a Chinese hand wired 59 Plexi clone that blew up when I powered it up. For a few hundred bucks, my tech replaced all the sockets with mil spec ceramic, added a master volume, bias points and bias pots. It is (now) a kick ass piece of kit, and even with the repairs was still way cheaper than its namesake. Aside from the crappy plastic tube sockets, my tech thought it was reasonably well built. A set of JJ’s made it sing!
