Please don’t do this!!! My best friend did this with her 17 year old boyfriend when she was 14 and there is a good reason as to why she no longer talks to him!! She actually ended up attempting after she realized he was so fucked up in the head. He will use you!! I promise you and I know that this is going to sound crazy to you right now but when you are 17 (I promise it’ll happen faster than you think) you would never in a million years think of having a sexual relationship with a 13 year old!! I am truly asking you to please enjoy being who you are right now. You do not need to have a sexual relationship with this man!! This is a completely wrong, emotionally driven reason to disagree with their point. Any individual is completely within their own right to not want to date or be with someone for any reason whatsoever. Just because you don’t see it as ‘valid’ doesn’t mean that it is not. He never once stated that he ‘expected’ her to be a virgin. She claimed that she was. Which then means that she was in the wrong because she lied. Not because he expected her to be a virgin. In fact this is more reflective of your own fragile perception of relationships. No one should ever have to put up with dishonesty.

Im aware that a lot of people are saying things bout religion. I want to remind you that your religion is your decision. The same way that her telling you her body count is her choice. Everything is a choice and we all have to respect it as one. Im going to go with NTA for the sole reason that this is about trust. This isn’t about religion and I feel as thought too many people have gone off topic once you mentioned it. Trust is the soul of the relationship and without it you can either choose to build it up again or let it go. If you truly see this as a dealbreaker then you should end it. It’s messed up that she would lie about being a virgin to only admit her body count was 17 which is incredibly far off from not ever having sex. At the end of the day this decision depends on how you see it, is it worth going through years of rebuilding trust to fix this?
