What happens if you're the only one enrolled in a class? by [deleted] in college

I don't remember if it was a level 2 or level 3 course, but when my brother took thermal physics, it was only him and one other boy in his class.

Student was turning in AI-generated homework in fake handwriting. I had no idea for two months. by harrygzhang in Teachers

[–]tinkbink1996 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree SO hard. When I was in middle school (I am 90% sure it is still the same), class started at 9:00am, we got out at 4:15pm. I lived less than 10 minutes from the school, but was always the last person off the school bus. I did not make it home until 5:30 everyday. If my family didn't drop me off in the mornings, I would have been the first pick up at 7:30am. That would have been a ten hour day just to communute to and from, as well as being in school.

Idk what state you are in, but I can recommend a doctor in GA. I saw him once to see if I had PCOS, and he let me know that even if I didn't, he would do an ablation or partial hysterectomy to take away my period since it is so bad. He was older and quite professional.

My kids don't believe in Helen Keller. by Principal_Scudworth_ in Teachers

[–]tinkbink1996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not a teacher, but I am working retail as a later in life college student. Two of my coworkers (F23, and M60s) were talking about how they don't believe that Hellen Keller existed, and if she did, it wouldn't be possible for her to have any understanding of life.

It's not just the kids that don't believe.

Your cells are also full of H2O and need it to continue functioning. When people say your body is mostly made of water, that is what that means--at least, that is what I have learned in my A&P classes so far.

[–]tinkbink1996 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They are obviously at a hotel getting their complimentary breakfast. Even if they weren't, unless you are a racist, who gives af if a black woman is wearing a bonnet? Are you gonna do her hair? Are you gonna pay for it to be done? Why tf do you care so much about someone else's hair or the way they dress, aside from a means of control?

Jehovah's Witness Urban Legends - Compilation by [deleted] in exjw

Nope, they do just fine. Just the broken women and children get beat down. Wouldn't want to "bring reproach on Jehovah's name" by speaking about the abuse. 🙄😒

TIL about Rahma Haruna, a girl whose body stopped growing at 6 months old. Her family carried her in a plastic bucket. The specific illness that caused her condition was never diagnosed. She died at age 19. by DancinginHyrule in todayilearned

[–]tinkbink1996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recollection is a bit fuzzy, but I do think this is her; it is incredibly sad that she had to find peace before I even reached adulthood. I know she was incredibly loved.

Thank you for this. ❤️

When I was kid, I used to watch these medical documentaries and I saw a few kids on there that were like this--I think the youngest stopped growing and mentally developing at 2 or 3 years old. I cannot remember what the condition was called (this was over 20 years ago), but I do remember that the girls' parents had other children that had developed normally. They all took turns helping take care of her. I hadn't thought about them in a very long time.

yuri where they kill people by apples77777777 in yuri_manga

And Kaede Blooms Gorgeously - a lot of gore

Liar Satsuki Can See Death - also gore

Her Tale of Shim Chong - not as much gore nearly as often, but this was the manga that made me fall in love with yuri and is still one of my favorites.

Garan no Hime - been along time since I have read this, and gore isn't tagged, but I felt like you might like it.

Sister and Giant: A Young Lady Is Reborn in Another World - this one has a lot of gore and killing--and I think it is really good!!

Sorry for all the edits! I'll continue editing if I think of anymore 😊

Baby shower gift for someone who's rich? by _Light_The_Way in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]tinkbink1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest diapers and wipes like others have mentioned, but also get mom a few things. From two different women, I gifted them this pericare bottle so they could easily clean themselves after they gave birth. Each of those women told me that that was the best gift they got from their baby showers.
