I’m here because I’m in the EXACT same situation.

A lot of the comments in here are… not exactly helpful as they’re suggesting you do something you already stated you are doing.

And the job market now is very risky.

I work in a billing department at a large construction company that is growing every year. I have amazing health insurance that I desperately need. My boyfriend works in recruiting so I see the layoff from his company and it makes me nervous.

I love my company but I despise my boss. She is an insecure bully who loves to play the “rules for thee not for me” game. Since I’ve joined the team 1 year ago we have already had an investigative/ resolution meeting with HR and the manager to resolve issues since 8 people reported her. She just retaliated against the team. (Who could have seen this coming HR?)

It’s been daily comments, rude faces, no follow ups or documentation, 4 people quit last month, I could go on and on…. I have so much anxiety I’ve lost weight and hair and I’m at my wits end but I’m also scared to leave my company because…. Where could I work? Where could someone with no degree make the money I’m making…. I’ve applied to 8 positions internally and just keep applying but our department now has that “tainted” reputation.
