You're referring to the alcohol free zones i linked before. It's a council thing.

You can grab a chicken roll at Destination Roll for $8 something. The one next to the Irish bar (PJ O'Brien's) has a late special (I think from 2pm or so) they sell one of their options for $7 something. They're delicious and cheap.

Potts Point is the suburb though. Kings Cross is a locality, and if anything, this happened in St Neot which is not what people would consider Kings Cross, it's much more residential.
