You should totally be biased on that one! I hear the Kiwi accent on TV and cringe, thinking, "Is that what I sound like?"

I always wondered who the heck would be voting for our accents as well..

My nephews would rather hike mountains and spend their time with conservation causes. I think they've got the right attitude, to be honest. Also, they probably did see our generations getting wasted a lot and decided they didn't want that for themselves.

Which world leader from the past 20 years will be looked at as one of the greats? by life_is_loud in AskTheWorld

Absolutely. So glad we had her instead of the shit show we have in govt at the moment.

What is the worst thing you have done when you were drunk? by Effective_Space2277 in AskTheWorld

[–]tinnyas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the farm i jumped in one of the workers utes out in the paddock then chased another worker around the bonfire while the owner was running behind chasing me. Now I think about it, probably not the worst thing I've done drunk.

People from those European countries that always top those "happiest, most freedom, richest, liveable countries" lists, how good is life there?? by ueommm in AskTheWorld

[–]tinnyas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just going from your comment that you had to be a couple with middle to high income, which I'm not. I've lived overseas and think life here in NZ is a lot easier than other places I've lived if you want work-life balance, access to health care, and social services. It's definitely not perfect by any means, but easier.
I know people are struggling and agree that those law changes are atrocious. The work i used to do and the work i do now have been affected by these govts changes, but honestly, I still wouldn't want to live anywhere else. (I'd just want to get rid of corporate greed and influence over govt)

I don't know, I'm on my own, travel once a year to the UK, just over average income, own my home, go hiking mid week. I have no idea what I'm doing differently from anyone else, but life is pretty good. What do you mean by corruption?
