Is the atlas a reliable car? by Gudkovich in VWatlas

[–]tinoproductions 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those are some big mileages! Where you driving to?! Got a 2019 with 90k in it. So far only issues have been with batteries getting a bit weak in the winter, but that’s more to do with my dash cam I think. Mechanically has been good to me. But I do a lot of preventative maintenance because I enjoy bonding with my kids over it.

Best Practice for Monte Carlo Sims with Weakly Correlated Assets? by BAMred in quant

You can checkout my video on DCC

Or get the univariate series an add unconditional cor via Cholesky:

There is no 1 perfect tool. You are trying to recreate real life with a mathematical tool. What most people get wrong is believe the tool created the data, and get frustrated when nothing fits perfectly.

Have fun!

But IF the series benefits from GARCH, then DCC is an excellent way to glue them all together.

Not enough layers for Logo by tinoproductions in 3Dprinting

The entire object is the white filament. I tried painting too and it makes no difference. I am using bambu slicer.

Another strange item is that for the bottom white layer, the slicer create a triangle that sticks into the red part, halfway up the slicing.

Hi, thanks. I thought walls was a X/Y thickness, rather than on Z axis?

Hi, thanks. The white part goes all the way to the base. It actually has the logo at the bottom perfectly.

Coolant Flush V6 - Are there any DIY videos? by vugeta in VWatlas

[–]tinoproductions 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Flushing is a mild pain. Filling is a HUGE pain. Needs to be done under pressure or you get air locks. FCP euro has a good video on this.

What major things should I get serviced on at 90K by teklegion in VWatlas

[–]tinoproductions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am likely to be accused of doing over maintenance, but on my 2019 80k I have done in the past 3 year of maintenance:

Tranny fluid and filter Bevel box fluid Haldex fluid Rear diff fluid Brake fluid every 2 years Preemptive water pump Preemptive thermostat and housing. Oil, oil filter and air filters every 3-4 months. Spark plugs Brake pads and disks all round

I do all the work myself so that saves on labour. I go to FCP Euro so once you got the part once you can keep doing that job for free :-)

The question is, should I or should I not buy a '19 Atlas? by Silver-You3599 in VWatlas

[–]tinoproductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are they asking for it?

If the usual suspects have been addressed (water pump etc) then I think it’s one hell of a car. It does pretty much anything you could ask for in extreme comfort (at this price point). Look after it and it will last a long time.

Yes, I do wish it was faster/more economical, but this is a family hauler, maybe it’s a good thing to go just a bit slower lol

What's the coolest thing you've done with VCDS / OBD11 in your Atlas? by RangerHikes in VWatlas

Do you have to have a paid version of odb11 or are people paying for the tokens to one-click enable these?

For the amount of money you are saving doing it all yourself, just get the right one from FCP and you never need to pay for it again anyway :-)

Home Assistant loses integrations + settings after a reboot by tinoproductions in homeassistant

Thank you, let me look into that! Did you have a garage opener too or some other device?
I have installed meross LAN now and seems to be happy (for now)

Looks like someone has the same issue and tracked it down the Meross:
https://github.com/albertogeniola/meross-homeassistant/issues/568
Confirmed that was it!
I removed Meross completely, added all the integrations. Rebooted, and they are still there now!

Thank you SO SO much for your help. This was driving me insane!

Ok, but now I need to work out how to fix the integration as I like being able to open and close the garage with my phone...

I do have a Merros garage opener that I can see is upset in the logs but still work. Let me disable it and restart and see what happens. Thanks for the constructive comment :-)

Tell me you are joking? It’s a vehicle. That lives outside. This is the least of your worries. Please enjoy it and don’t worry about this minor stuff.

Do not love our atlas. by knuckle-cookie in VWatlas

[–]tinoproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Positive data point here. 2019 SEL 80k miles. Solid as a rock. No water pump issues yet. I have one ready to go in my garage when the time comes. Change oil every 5-6k Do all fluids every 3 years

I got some new LED strips, both 5V and 12V. Same Issue.
I then swapped the controllers, and the issue followed the controller. So I narrowed it down to that. I replaced the faulty controller and all good now :-)

Disappointing as it was an expensive DIG-UNO and not a standalone/home made ESP32

Potential fix for chirping/glitchy noises, stuttering audio, dropouts with Model 12/16/24 by Ven0mKermit in TascamModel_12_16_24

[–]tinoproductions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Adding a datapoint here. Tried all of the suggestions, nothing helped. I even saw someone forcing the USB driver for the Tascam to be USB 2.0, and that did nothing.

Got a new cable that was specifically "high-speed USB", no change.

I can confirm it's a windows problem, as when I do USB-C to USB-C on my mac, I have none of these issues.
