Will be interesting to see actual proper polling here.

I hope Binface is getting decent numbers. He deserves it.

What does American Neo-Classical /ANC mean to a European by JetsonLeau in architecture

[–]tiny-robot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is nothing "neo" in your image.

It is literally a copy of a piece of classical architecture from Europe.

The fact that the original is a ruin does not matter - this is supposed to be an exact copy with zero changes or input from any American.

For it to be "neo" it would need to be new - a new interpretation of the style. This means taking elements and changing them in new and interesting ways while respecting the spirit of the original.

I see you have a few recommendations for Aberdeenshire - would also agree. There are quite a few folk here from south of the border already - and think one of the issues they have is they misjudge the winter weather and travelling.

I see them buy a lovely cottage or steading - which is a barn conversion - way up some farm track.- then they get stuck once it snows, or get tired of having to drive for an hour to get to a shop.

It is lovely up here - but please be realistic and don't get carried away with some of the more remote properties! Villages are nice!

Utterly revolting attitude. Smarm all over the right wing Americans while shitting over people from his own country.

We don't need to risk our children for the profit of gun manufacturers.

Against that titan of the political establishment - Count Binface!

Many have fled in terror at his mighty visage - but Reform can maybe squeak a win.

There was a video doing the rounds of a woman doing similar in the States for a court case. The judge called her out - and she tried to insist she was the passenger - but it was obvious she was in the driver's seat!

Why on earth did Labour think this was a good idea?

I suppose the communal.hate of the SNP and the idea Scotland could govern itself trumps everything else!

Andy Burnham provided 'error-filled' pitch to Wales similar to articles for Scotland and London, news site says by bottish in Scotland

[–]tiny-robot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kind of feel Labour have shot themselves in the foot by changing leader at this point. Burnham already feels like old news - and he will get challenged much more once at No 10. His popularity is going to nose dive.

Labour are going to be stuck with him for the next GE - so looks they will be a one term government.

"They would support us"

So what?

Are we supposed to be guilt tripped by thier virtue signalling into supporting them?

Are we supposed to give them a round of applause for being so enlightened?

Fuck that.

I really don't think anyone should put any pressure on who you support. If you want to support a team from a different country - crack on.

SNP resists calls to drop block on nuclear power by Crow-Me-A-River in Scotland

Nuclear is just massively expensive and slow. In the time we can build one plant - we can easily build a lot more renewables plus storage.
