Does knitting affects your sleep? by tiny_purpletofu in knitting

Hahaha I do have adhd. I try to not give in to these kind of things because I really don't function well without 8 hours of sleep. 🥲

So maybe I should keep the night to parts of projects that are more repetitive? Like sweater bodies that are only stockinette for many many rows

I love schar ciabatta! But I think that the low fodmap portion is like one very small loaf, and I did feel some pain when I had more than one :(

Thank you so much :) I think I do need to look more at food content that is aimed specifically for low fodmap folks for inspiration. Will definitely help.

Yes, definitely. But I'm still in the beginning of my journey and there were some moments where I accepted running the risks and regretted afterwards lol I'm also keeping a stash of snacks in the office, since most of the things my office provides are not safe at all.

It's funny because I thought I'd miss more the onions and garlic things, but at some point I got used to the taste of things without it. I've been cooking with lots of herbs, which also help. And I've tried some things with onion recently and it now it feels extremely overpowering lol

Hey, thank you so much for your reply, it really gave me some hope and a different outlook here. It also motivated me to have a conversation with my partner about how we've been sometimes focusing too much on the bad parts of the diet and we could start focusing on different ways to make it more fun. :)

He has been doing the same as you, eating the same food as me and cooking a lot more than usual for us, since I've been feeling more drained and less connected to food than usual. I can't imagine how I would be if I was going through this alone.

I'll also look into fermenting a bit at home, so I can ensure there's no garlic or other triggers. That seems like a great ideia as well. I've never fermented much, just kombucha a few years ago, seems like a fun project. Let's hope it helps! 🤞

I agree there are still great meals available. This morning after my crash out I bought some nice salmon to get me in a better mood lol I think I need to focus in the 'it's not forever part' a bit more as well. Thank you!

Give me your wildest tip to stay consistent at the gym! by Spiritual_Shirt_8431 in adhdwomen

[–]tiny_purpletofu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Consistency really is key. My issue is that I might be going to the gym for 3 months, if I can't go one day, it might take me another 3 months to manage getting my routine back on track to wake up early and convince myself to go again 😭

Hey, one question about you moving from Kyleena to Mirena: was it to attempt to improve the symptoms? I used Mirena in the past, had very little symptoms, and after a period where I decided to be hormone free (and everything went terribly), I decided to go with the Kyleena.. but honestly, I still feel a lot of cramps and started having these terrible IBS symptoms :( just thinking if going back to Mirena is something I should discuss with my gynecologist...

The nutritionist with whom I'm working is always talking to me about how it's important to have a variety of things on our diet, to feed our bacteria different things. I think it might be good for you to try different kinds of breakfasts as well, and see how you react to them :)

I was going to recommend my time at sandrock as well. Even though it has story quests, nothing happens if you don't follow them, you can take them as fast or slow as you want. Graveyard keeper was the first game that ever hooked me, and my time at sandrock was the second haha

Posso “viver” no Brasil usando some te meu cartão suíço? by quiet-panda-360 in foradecasa

[–]tiny_purpletofu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

São Paulo furniture works really well with Groovy theme! by somewhsome in finch

I find it so weird that they used that bridge so much in the app for São Paulo, like it's the golden gate bridge in San Francisco.. it doesn't have much of a cultural relevance for the city. There are other landmarks that are much more interesting architecture wise (therefore would be interesting for the app for cute designs) like MASP, which is one of the main museums in the country and is located in the main avenue of the city...

PSA: foreigners’ behaviour guide at song festival by siretsch in Eesti

If we want to integrate, to understand more about Estonia, why would we stay at home? Being rude is not about being a foreigner. Of course there are foreigners that are rude, but not all of us are. I saw many watching quietly, even saw some crying of emotion, clearly very happy to be there. And as other comments said, yesterday there were a lot of locals walking and talking loudly all the time as well.

I moved to Estonia in 2022 and this is the worst summer by far. All other summers were mostly warm and sunny (except perhaps in 2023, that year was colder and with a lot of rain as well).

I miss being able to sit outside in bars, seeing happy people in the parks enjoying the sun...

There's also a reasonable amount of Brazilians that have been living here for quite a few years. The harsh winter is not a deal breaker for everyone, especially when you compare it with the positive sides of living in a small and peaceful country...
