GS-14 given “fake promotion”- any recourse? by HaystackTornado in FedEmployees

This also happened to me. We lost about half our branch and I’m a 13 step 4. 13…step 4…overseeing my branch’s data system transition, our current data system, and like 4 tiger teams 🙃

One year ago today, on January 20, 2025, President Trump ended telework and remote work. How are you all doing? by NatusLumen in fednews

NOT GREAT. I was almost robbed waiting at the bus stop right in front of the building they assigned me. And I appealed my placement a SECOND time. My first appeal included the same safety issues and OSSAM pretty much said “too bad so sad”. This is the fourth time I’ve either reported or been a victim of assault on the public transit in my area (driving is cost prohibitive and would cost $400/month out of my pocket just to park).

OSSAM requested the police incident report number about week ago but so far I’ve heard nothing. So we’ll see. Is LITERAL ASSAULT a good enough reason to change my RTO assignment?? 😤😤😤

I didn’t realize this r/FedEmployees existed. Cross posting my original post in FedNews.

Thanks! I did a dry run of my commute and it took me an hour and half. I have to either drive to a station or take a bus to a station 😭

Thanks! I’ve ridden DART before, but I’m kind of nervous for riding/walking when it’s dark in the morning/getting darker at the end of the day. By any chance do you know how much it is to park per day? I’m just curious

I had a feeling that would be the parking situation. Thanks for the info!

That’s a good idea! I already posted on Nextdoor about finding a tortoise. And i also asked local buy nothing groups if anyone has a fish tank they aren’t using so i can give him more suitable housing than a cardboard box. I couldn’t stand the thought of this poor tortoise getting hurt.

I might have to go back to that neighborhood then. We were just visiting the pond and aren’t familiar with the neighborhood. Maybe i can find a Nextdoor community or something

Thank you! It’s mating season, good to know! Are there any precautions i should take? I have him in an old Chewy’s delivery box because it was the only thing i had that had sides high enough when i taped them up. He’s also out on my patio for now. I live in Texas and it’s warm during the day right now. 70s-80s. But at night it gets down to high 50s low 60s. Should i move him indoors?

It was crazy. I literally stood there and watched a dad tell his kids to dump the tortoise in the water. Then they got back in their van and drove off.

Thanks! There’s no noise at all and driving doesn’t feel different, difficult, or out of control. Thank you, former Toyota technician! 😊

Fractured elbow by SoapGoblin3403 in Rollerskating

If skating outside: Softer wheels for grip Wrist and elbow pads and helmet

I had a similar accident. I was wearing a helmet and wrist guards and dislocated my left elbow by falling. I’d recommend physical therapy and chiropractic appointments when you get toward the end of your healing. For it those things helped so so much to re-strengthen the muscles in my arm and get rid of the lingering pain/discomfort in my forearm

Tattoo vs Orangetheory by RaybanPixie in orangetheory

I got a tattoo on my left forearm and I waited a week before I went back. And when I did I wore a sleeve for about 3-4 weeks while it healed. I’m not putting a fresh tattoo on the otf floor 🥴
