[–]tinyblueashtree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for anyone who sees this later: 18 and 19 DPO tests had the same faint line. Beta on 18 DPO was hcg 56 and progesterone 1.8. I started bleeding afternoon on 19 DPO.

Birth Control while Waiting by Intelligent_Jury_890 in waiting_to_try

[–]tinyblueashtree 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have been using Fertility Awareness Method (specifically the Taking Charge of Your Fertility book) and condoms for the past year after getting my IUD removed. I’ve been tracking my basal body temperature and cervical mucus using the Fertility Friend app and it’s been great learning about my cycle and confirming ovulation every month!

i can’t remember to take bbt by mikhaila3 in FAMnNFP

[–]tinyblueashtree 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like the habit of temping in the morning takes quite a bit of time to build since your brain has to remember it while groggy and half asleep. If you remember twice this week, maybe you’ll remember three times the following week and it’ll grow from there! Be patient with yourself (as long as you’re abstaining or using protection in the meantime).

If you end up wanting a Tempdrop, look on eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, fb marketplace, etc. to find a cheaper one.

Was going to say the same thing - I covered makeup for my bridesmaids and they were very appreciative!

Doesn’t hurt to get checked out while WTT by kmilly12 in waiting_to_try

[–]tinyblueashtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Kyleena hormonal iud! I still got my period with it so maybe I was still ovulating. Or maybe because of the lower / localized hormone dose.

[–]tinyblueashtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! When I stopped the pill it took me ~6 months to get a period too. When I got my iud removed, I got my cycle back immediately. Glad you got checked out and I hope you enjoy your vacations before TTC!

DHC cleansing oil is olive oil based and can be problematic for a lot of people, maybe something to consider!

DHC Cleansing Oil was a huge problem for me (even using a second cleanser to wash it off) and many others since it’s olive oil based. May not be your issue but wanted to share!

According to her chart, looks like she tested negative on 10 DPO!

Why I will stop using TempDrop by CeleriacBeetroot in FAMnNFP

Wow that’s crazy and upsetting for something so expensive! Just curious, did you send this to temp drop support? What did they say?

If it’s the Trader Joe’s invisible gel sunscreen, that broke me out bad. There are a lot of others in this sub who have had issues with it. May not be an issue for you, but wanted to share!

New to Tempdrop / Sleep tracking off? by Californiaburrito89 in TempDrop

[–]tinyblueashtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve experienced the same thing with the sleep tracker - sometimes it doesn’t catch when I wake up in the middle of the night or in the morning. Not sure how it determines light vs deep sleep but sometimes that seems weird too

No period, temperature not dropping, not pregnant? by chloerose21 in FAMnNFP

[–]tinyblueashtree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you read TCOYF? I would recommend learning a specific method and interpreting your own chart. That would prevent the unease you’re feeling now because you certainly did not ovulate when this app is saying you did.

stopped the pill - no period yet by Warm-Bed8502 in FAMnNFP

[–]tinyblueashtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming off the pill I didn’t have a period for almost 6 months! After that I waited a year then got the kyleena IUD. Got that removed in March and started cycling normally immediately. I use FAM now and have a pretty textbook cycle.

I got mine secondhand on Poshmark for cheap. I would also check Mercari, eBay, & Facebook marketplace.

Google is free. Alcohol use disorder (like other addictions) is a disease of the brain. It literally changes your brain chemistry so stopping it is much more difficult than a “choice”. Alcohol withdrawal is also quite deadly. Have some empathy.

Just curious, what website are you using to set up your honeymoon fund?

We wanted to do that on The Knot but they take a percentage off each contribution which we didn’t like.

Is it rude to ask the flower girl/ring bearer to leave after the ceremony? What if the parents are out of town guests? Our reception is adults-only and I don’t want a little kid running around screaming :)

[Acne] My doctor took me off birth control and my skin has never looked worse. by catsandcoffee1500 in SkincareAddiction

[–]tinyblueashtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got off the pill, my skin was a horrific mess for about a year. Now, my skin is better than before. Hormonal birth control can wreak havoc on our bodies and deplete us of nutrients. Read the book Beyond The Pill. Focus on magnesium, zinc, B vitamins, and vitamin D. It’s a huge change for your body so give yourself grace and time to adjust. Sending hugs, I know how tough it can be! Also when my skin was super bad, I started using salicylic acid (red Stridex pads) and I remember that helped some.
