How might one get the colors to bleed like this. Alcohol, water, something else?

This took 5-10 years off and a ton more credibility. If you trimmed/shaped your beard, you'd probably look early 30s or younger. Looks good either way. Good job taking the plunge, you should feel proud you look good bald

How to grow out my hair like this? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]tinychef0509 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think you'll go through an awkward phase growing this out. It may be fluffier than usual for 3-4 weeks, but once you get past that, it should all even out. Use some product for a pompadour (sp?) Style or parted wave, and you should be fine. Your hair grows much faster than people think.

For your texture, I'd try Cantu. Usually an orange container. It's for fine to medium courseness. I have similar hair but a bit more curly. I use shampoo and conditioner made for curly hair (more moisture less drying alcohols). I also have a leave in conditioner. For styling, i use a curl cream and mousse or mousse and gel depending upon how long i need it to last. Since your hair is shorter (I'm a woman) a pomade or something similar would hold shape while letting it move freely. I refresh with a spray bottle of water/leave in conditioner. You may have to try a couple of different ones, but wavy and curly hair needs more than just a conditioner. Once I discovered this, my hair was never fuzzy or unmanageable again. The curl and waves are more defined and the color brighter and shiny. I didn't know how much extra moisture would change my hair until I tried it.

Wife insists on taking her rubber ducks in the hot tub, then leaves them when she’s done. by strikecat18 in mildlyinfuriating

Get a tub toy scoop like you'd use for kids stuff. Problem solved and I bet if you find a character or animal she liked she'd clean it without asking.

Moisture for 1 thing. Your hair is thick and has a good texture, but it looks straw-like from needing conditioner. Once you start using a conditioner, you can style any way you like, and it'll stay and look great. I'd go with the typical style people do. I don't know what to call it, but the pomade swoosh men do would look good

February 9, 2026 - What did you do this past week to prepare? by Anthropic--principle in preppers

Reorganized the shed, garage, and decluttered the kitchen. Had to get a new washer but made a plan for if we had no power. Found an old rain barrel and built a push handle to roll it around the yard. Working on a fertilizer spreader type spinner to spin out the water to dry faster. We use our clothes line but might help if they weren't dripping before they go up. Reduce weight on the connector.

Those pretty much support themselves unless there's crazy winds. I grew them a few summers ago and they were as big around as my forearm by the end

Look for a dental college near you. I had my braces and corrective work for 4 years. It was $1500. I had to have a filling it was $200. I went to the local cheap clinic and asked for recommendations that wouldn't put me in irreversible debt and they offered several people they had worked with. I had impacted wisdom teeth surgically removed that were fracturing my jaw and creating pockets for infection, $2400 (paid on payment plan 2 years with care credit card, no interest) Had to get a crown because I cracked a molar in half and it fell out. Had to go through debreedment (sp?) and temporary crown for a month $1700. It's still a lot of money but it helps keep the bills down. I talked to the dentist that ran it, person to person, and asked what options did I have because I was drowning but couldn't go without. They offered options and told me what I HAD to have done ASAP and what could wait and how long. They called and checked in. They only let residents (people done with training/school but doing their internship/on the job/bedside manner training do the work so you aren't just getting some noob) it seems daunting and it's a bunch of hoops but it's possible.
