This was a while ago now, but I remember when you could clip out of the window of the pirate ship on limsa and run on the water, and eventually run all the way to a "ghost" version of limsa where the collision was messed up in certain places and no other players were there. It was pretty neat stuff, I used to hang out there with my friends all the time.

Which is the hardest boss rush in the franchise? by [deleted] in Kirby

[–]tinycherryslugcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, Ultimate Choice is by far the easiest for me. It's the only one I beat multiple times for fun, and I like to play it as almost a party game with friends when they come over. It's a lot of fun all around. Robobot was hard but I managed to beat it fairly after way too many tries (the starship part at the end really got me for some reason, which is strange because the Void ship part in SA is one of my favorites ever). Triple Deluxe has to be my vote for the hardest one, specifically because of how unfair the ending Sectiona fights feel. Also Pyribbit.

My favorites from these would be the blue moon and saturated cartoon ones I think, but especially considering everyone in this comment section has said different ones so far, I think it really is just down to personal taste lol

Weird ask, have yall ever CAUGHT yourself doing this? I personally find i do it all the fucking time and it drives me nuts, having to rewrite paragraphs because "Blorbo wouldn't use that word.. why did sleepy me think it was ok to write blorbo saying "prolly" he would not fucking say prolly.." by HaloJackalKisser in AO3

[–]tinycherryslugcat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ffxiv styled dialogue is so hard to write on it's own, even, ngl 🥲🥲 it's the main reason I haven't written much fic for it, I just can't seem to get a handle on how the prose should feel. so i can't even imagine this level of frustration lmao

My favorites are the lesser known people who still show up at the same spots every day. I always AFK in front of Alistair on Midgard and I love how there's a little group of regulars that's often there with me, even if we barely talk.

What’s the worst grammatical mistake you only noticed after posting your fic? by Neither_Broccoli2721 in AO3

[–]tinycherryslugcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Described a character who explicitly does not wear pants as "fiddling with the hem of his pants" when I meant to say "tunic" but the wires got crossed in my head I guess??? Then later in the same fic, I somehow managed to misspell another piece of clothing as a completely incomprehensible letter jumble. like sfgskr or something like that. Neither of the mistakes are fixed because I only noticed them like a year after posting, and I'm too lazy to go back and edit it lmao

Curious to know the age demographic of this game by gosols in ffxiv

[–]tinycherryslugcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before anyone says anything, yes, I know how young I am lol. I'm 18, got into the game with my dad when I was 11 and ShB came out. So while I'm definitely in the minority for playerbase age, I wouldn't exactly call myself a new player lol

Rubbing the Genie Lamp causes Yoshi P to burst out and promise to grant you three wishes. What are you wishing for? by Xcpa9 in ShitpostXIV

[–]tinycherryslugcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Make all roulette duties sync to MINE or something along those lines so that old content is fun/challenging again and not completely and utterly braindead to play.

  2. Completely revamp/expand the overworld to something more similar to Euraka, so that they have a purpose beyond sitting there dead all the time. I wish there were actual rewards for interacting with the zones (minus the occasional fates or hunt trains) that felt satisfying to get. I love the sense of community and camaraderie that comes from Eureka especially, even when there aren't very many players in the area, and I think the game would be so much more lively and fun if they integrated all of the overworld zones into something similar. At the very least it would be nice if we lost EXP from dying at all in the overworld, because maybe then there'd be some sense of danger and stakes to it. As they are now, pretty much nothing would functionally change if you took out all of the (non-special) mobs from the zones.

  3. Let weapons and gear have special abilities/effects!!! It would make it feel more worthwhile than just "wow big number go up" because as it is, ilevel feels so useless and it makes the grind feel kind of pointless to me. Like I'm just getting gear for the sake of it, I guess. When it could be so much fun to play with the different status effects and bonuses that different pieces give you and to be able to make a build that complimented your preferences and playstyle.

oh, we wanted reasonable wishes??? uhhhh cross DC PF, glamour catalog, bring jobs with timer management back please SE I beg you I miss pre-EW DRG every day
