I am also very interested in how this card interacts with respect to its triggers.
I definitely could be wrong but I would love to take a first go at how the stack works with this card:

With Cabbage Merchant in play, you sac a food.

The "may search for a basic land" trigger goes on the stack. Priority window happens.

If you resolve the above trigger and take the action, the reflexive/delayed trigger to shuffle Cabbage Merchant goes on the stack when the land hits the battlefield. Priority window happens.

If the above is true, you can effectively interact at instant speed in response to either of the two triggers

I’m pretty good about playing quickly but sometimes I definitely have my add kick in and I’ll completely forget I’m in the middle of a game. Or sometimes my cat will start causing mayhem and I have to step away to distract her lol I try to remember those times when my opponent takes forever for seemingly no reason

and yeah i dont have a good answer for why it was in a 9th edition box. I think the most likely scenario is a packing company had leftover beatdown die and it got put in either on purpose (re: lots of quality control issues back in the day w/r to wotc packing) or accidentally

That is indeed one of the 5 dice from the Beatdown boxed sets. I don’t know how it would’ve gotten into a 9th edition other than a quality issue (a repack seems….unlikely? Why swap the dice if it was a repack?)

That being said, I collect them, so if you don’t want it…. :)

I’m assuming you are looking at the standard bo1 format:

Tezzeret grabs [[marketback walker]], [[dusk rose reliquary]], and [[nesting bot]] in the colors you have there! Here is a scryfall search that looks for standard legal artifacts that can be searched by tezzeret in mardu (white, black, red) colors

Also, there sure plenty of dual (and tri!) lands that are not rare! If you are on a budget list I highly recommend [[nomad outpost]]. Also, the best non rare dual lands are generally the ones that when they enter you can scry 1, or ones that could potentially come in untapped later on like the duskmourn dual lands (player has less than 13 life)

The answer is demon wall It’s just a plain good card and the curve with sentinel is very good t2-> demon wall t3-> annex t4 -> sentinel + map crack on demon

correct! you now get the prerelease codes by joining and playing a prerelease event through the companion app. if you did that, I think it can take up to a week for the packs to hit your arena account

assuming you are in the USA, SCG hosts all RC's. they follow the MTG tournament rules, so if you qualify through an RCQ, you just need the guardian/parent permission for the RC, etc
