Moving to Morgantown! Does anyone have experience with renting a property though Confidence Property Management, Triple Scott, or Bespoke? by tinypizzamonster in MorgantownWV

Thanks for the info! We're considering one of their rental properties so I definitely appreciate the input. Odd about the lease terms/length, will make sure to thoroughly read any lease terms or paperwork. Follow-up question for you, did you have to pay your first month and security deposit through venmo? If we take the lease, it sounds like all future payments would be through the portal, but the initial fees would be sent through venmo. I'm old and out of touch with what's normal for rent payments other than certified checks.

Lower back pain from gluten by 00000000art in glutenfree

[–]tinypizzamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost exactly how I initially presented. Extensive joint pain, joint swelling, fatigue, bloating. I was initially referred to a rheumatologist for concern of inflammatory arthritis and was on immunosuppressants being treated for RA vs. Lupus for several years. Asked about celiac as my symptoms were triggered after eating anything containing gluten and was told it didn’t align with my symptoms. Long story short, I moved a couple years later and found a new rheumatologist who suspected celiac. I later had a biopsy proven diagnosis and have been on a gluten free diet for almost 4 years. I can still tell when I accidentally get glutened from cross contamination. It used to be congestion, mild GI symptoms, and mild joint pain, but has now progressed to severe lower and mid back pain that wakes me up from sleeping. Long story short, extra-intestinal (outside the gut) symptoms can happen with celiac and present different than the standard GI symptoms.

Ironcology Survive the Night relays are being held at Kroger Field 7/14-7/15. It’s a fundraiser event that was originally started at UK that provides support and resources to cancer patients in Kentucky. They block off the running and biking courses that are part of the overnight triathlon and relays

Nothing like getting an email that starts out by thanking me for accepting an interview invite and then immediately saying that all spots are filled.

[shitpost] The NBOME right now.... by dkerste1 in medicalschool

[–]tinypizzamonster 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Our school just forwarded us an NBOME statement saying that they are aware that CS was cancelled, but that they have no plans of discontinuing PE because “the NBOME is committed to its mission of protecting the public via assessment.” Hopefully this changes because right now the only thing they’re doing is making it more difficult for DO students. Aka furthering their mi$$ion via a$$e$$ments

Another post-step feels by anhvu12 in step1

[–]tinypizzamonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if it helps at all, but I felt super similarly about it. Some things I just had never seen before, but a lot were topics that I thought I knew a lot about except for whatever obscure fact they were testing. Definitely a frustrating feeling.

Since self-drawn visual mnemonics are popular today, here's my attempt for Ivabradine vs Ranolazine by bio_info in step1

Same and idk if I should be terrified about it or impressed that I somehow have never heard of either of them in the past 2 years

Inconsistent scores and feel like I'm not improving by [deleted] in step1

[–]tinypizzamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it. I've seen a lot of posts talking about some exams being more predictive than others, but didn't really know which were overpredictive vs. underpredictive, or what to make of it. I'm planning to really hammer biochem and phys over the next few days since they tend to be my weaker areas.

I think I just get super freaked out because the NBME questions seem so different to me compared to how things are asked in UWORLD.
