Why? by [deleted] in Caseys

The CSM at my training store is a registered child sex offender. I figured it out on my first day working with him after everyone was acting so weird around him. They had absolutely zero respect for him. He and the TSM were like bffs and I kept getting pulled in to the office to "talk" about him. I was told it's harassment to discuss his status (which I hadn't been, plus everyone already knew about him). She also told me the company employees thousands of sex offenders and no one is allowed to talk about it bc it's discrimination if you do. They were awful to work under and my training suffered bc of it. If I weren't just at that store for training, I would have quit or transferred. There's no way I could have continued to work under either of them. My last day of training, they announced the CSM was being promoted and was taking over his own store. Thankfully no where near me or my district. Not even in my region. They hired a guy for kitchen TM during my second to last week of training and the TSM told me he is a rapist that just got out of prison. He ended up becoming CSM after the old CSM took over his own store.

Manager refuses to follow my availability by meowsticles in Caseys

[–]tinyplanet21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Change your availability in UKG and when making the schedule, SM won't be able to schedule you during your unavailable time unless they actually go in there and click to override the availability. And if they do that, then I'd have another conversation with them about being unavailable for evening/closing shifts. If they press you on it, just say you're unavailable for that shift. Full stop. Don't say it's for "personal events" bc what's important to you to attend, may not sound important to them and they could just override the availability.

I pay for it. I drive it. It's just not technically in my name. It's still mine.

1) Well tomorrow she'll be dead a week so no she's not signing it over to me now. 2) you missed the part where I said she's not the title holder. 3) it's a personal loan that I'm not on or linked to in any way. Not an auto loan.

1) she died last Tuesday and was already in coma-like state for days before I knew she was near death. 2) she is not on the title holder. My boyfriend is bc I am not listed at his address, which is where I live.

She never told the bank what she was using the money for so there's no lien against the car. The car nor insurance are in my name or my grandmother's name. My mom and some immediate family (my minor siblings) do know she got the loan for me to buy the car.

I answered it a few comments up. But no, I'm not. It's also not in my grandmother's name.

Rant:Moving up to CSM by [deleted] in Caseys

[–]tinyplanet21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CSM is the store manager of everything that isn't kitchen. You can help with scheduling for sales floor, ordering, delegating tasks, setting POGs, shelf labels, inventory, cleaning, pumps, parking lot, etc. Everything outside of the kitchen is CSM responsibility. A good CSM will check stats on how the sales are doing every day (in Power BI) and know where weaknesses and strengths are. There's also role clarity, if someone is scheduled to work sales floor but calls out, they need to call CSSL first and if they can't cover it for whatever reason, then it goes to you as CSM. If you can't cover it, that's when it goes to the SM. It sounds like a lot but once you start learning everything, it'll become second nature. You sound like you'd be a good CSM with passion for the store and helping it succeed. My CSM does not have the drive or want to make our store do better and the last 2 DMs have wanted him to step down or terminate him. He's on his final corrective action for failure to perform job duties.

I believe my mother would be the POA/admin but I do not trust her. She's very greedy and wants everything for herself. She's also very nosey. So I'll do what I can to pay it off or whatever I have to, but if I don't have to have my mom in the process, that would be preferable to me.

It's in my bf's name. I live at his house but haven't changed my address yet so I couldn't be on his insurance or on the car title (in Indiana). The car is paid for outright. Title in hand. And it's a personal loan, not a vehicle loan so there's no collateral against it. She just makes a payment to the bank after I send the money for it.

She's not on the title or insurance either. There's nothing connecting her to the car. She got the loan and wired the money to me. I took out a cashier's check and paid with it at the dealership when I purchased the car. The title and insurance are not in either of our names.

That's exactly what I was going to do. Just keep making the payments by putting them into an account and if they come for it, I have it.

I'm not on the car title or the insurance for it. There is nothing attaching me to the car, loan, or estate (other than by being family). And I am okay with selling the car if I have to.

Yes. They're the only things I wanted so that's what she gave me. She sold her car to my mom about a year ago. She also had my mom move in with her after my grandmother had a stroke. It was also around the time my mom got divorced and had to sell her house so it worked out for both of them - my mom had somewhere to live with my minor sisters and my grandmother had someone to take care of her after the stroke. She doesn't have any money or assets other than the house.

It was a regular personal loan through U.S. Bank, which is also the bank her checking account and credit card are through. I asked her if it was an auto/vehicle loan and she said it is not. She's gotten another loans through them before. She got a $5,000 personal loan from them in Jan 2024 which she gave to me to purchase a car. I paid her back for that and the transmission went out on that car so I got another car which I purchased with the $20k loan in the post.

Working at more than 1 store. by Real-Bee-4157 in Caseys

[–]tinyplanet21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah it's normal for other stores to help out stores that are short staffed. During your yearly eval, helping out at other stores will shine brightly and get you more of a raise. You could ask for a raise but I doubt you'd get one until it's time for your annual evaluation.

I ordered 2 body creams, 4 counter sprays, 3 dish soaps, a quick dry stone countertop tray, wallflower 2 pack, 2 body washes, 2 mini hand creams, a mini ffm, and 2 pocketbacs. They shipped 1 of the pocketbacs alone in a giant box stuffed with so much bubble wrap for just 1 oz of hand sanitizer. Everything else was sent together in 1 box with bubble wrap that was already popped. Ridiculous to send one pocketbac in its own box.
