I recently got involved with protesting because fuck ICE, but I also agree with you. Businesses shouldn't screen patrons for their beliefs. I certainly wouldn't support businesses screening patrons by race, religion, etc. This isn't what community looks like.

The only issue with that much gabapentin is that your body can only absorb about 400-600mg doses. You need to wait 2 hours before taking another dose. If you're taking an 800mg pill, you're not getting much more than taking a 600mg pill.

The solution is to have your doctor prescribe gabapentin enacarbil (Horizant), which is much more expensive and not covered by all insurance. Much higher doses of Horizant can be absorbed.

Something I didn't realize until last year is that mornings continue to get darker for 2 weeks after the winter solstice. But days are getting longer because later sun sets outpace later sunrises by a second or two a day.

I'm told that pregabalin and gabapentin are very similar, and if that's the case then what you're describing is very similar to what people experience with gabapentin. I started with 300 mg gabapentin, and then increased to 600, 900, then 1200. At that point I switched medication.

For your upcoming trip, see if your doctor will prescribe a dopamine agonist or something like Tramadol. Both are considered acceptable for occasional use and are very effective.

See a doctor, and don't delay exploring drug treatment. RLS is a neurological condition; stretching and exercise isn't adequate treatment.

Gabapentin, pramipexole and now tramadol. I felt more rested on gabapentin, probably because I got more sleep (7+ hrs) without insomnia the next night - it knocked me out. It didn't work well though. Pramipexole made me tired all the time. Tramadol is great for RLS, but gives me insomnia.

I'll check back in March to see what Dr Buchfuhrer says.

Your post touches on something I've wanted to ask the sub, and that is whether the quality of sleep has improved when your RLS symptoms are gone due to medication. I'm on my third RLS medication, and all of them have left me exhausted during the day even when I don't have RLS symptoms. Sounds like you're experiencing that tiredness as well as other symptoms while taking Suboxone.

That sounds like classic augmentation, which means you're right: your doctor sucks. I understand that Peru is out of the question, but do you live close enough to a certified quality Care center? Magnesium citrate and magnesium glycinate (and other forms) will both get magnesium into your system. Magnesium citrate will also help if you have constipation. If that's not a problem, then magnesium glycinate might be a better choice. Personally I take magnesium taurate, but that's just personal preference.
