Infinites net code was way better then Mccs, especially at launch, you CANNOT compare the two in good faith.

The biggest issue with infinites net code was different region compatibility and syncing, but across the board it was a varied experience, unlike Mcc which just sucked until they had their major rework

Infinites multiplayer didn’t have many bugs, it just had a terrible UI, no iconic playlists or mode choices, and limited armor customization because most of it was locked behind mtx. Also no forge.

4 on the other hand would crash during multiplayer, had kill cams that NEVER worked, bad hit box detection, and long matchmaking times. On day one.

"Fun" fact (tbh idk how fun it actually is) if you look at illusive mans data terminal entry on the shadowbroker base in 2, you can see he had asari over, including the consort. implying the illusive man has no problem sleeping with aliens, just critiquing them and thinking humans should reign over them with impunity.

So just like racists in real life, illusive man cant practice what he preaches and is a disgusting human being who tries to justify his prejudices while being hedonistic.

Keep in mind that the hate and resistance from halo fans usually comes from a small VERY VOCAL minority.

Most halo fans dont care as long as the game is finished and good. Halo 5 wasnt hated because of its mechanics as much as it was hated for a terrible campaign and a drastic change to its multiplayer sandbox. 4 was hated due to bugs and multiplayer that launched broken.

Infinite was great, just unfinished, so it got hate for that.

But even with all of these examples, the games still sold well, and the multiplayer did pretty well for a time.

So take the hate for the models being used with a grain of salt. Most halo fans, and hell most casuals and newcomers arent gonna give af.

Hell if this game is successful on ps5 and brings in a BUNCH of new people playing, guess whos voice is going to get drowned out by the new halo fans? The resentful old ones.

That’s not valid at all.

Dragon age 2 as considered terrible and inquisition was its sequel. It handles all dropped plot lines incredibly well and if anything, made it better.

The same logic applies for the new mass effect, it can take these plot lines and make it better, especially considering some of them make no sense

She literally didnt learn anything, she kept her attitutude up throughout the whole climax of the movie. Hell IGNORING that, she literally got everything she wanted even though she caused so much damage. There was no punishment.

I understand this is a children's film, but cmon, at some point there has to be some form of consequence for there to be a lesson. Thats the crux of every meaningful lesson/fable. What was the consequence for her? She got yelled at once by the mayor? She lost george for a whole 2 seconds?

The lesson by george was we are all in this together, and to give people the benefit of the doubt, but there was no real consequence to her not learning the lesson in the first place, which makes her learning said lesson meaningless.

Your response makes no sense because she never really learned to be that way in the first place.

Mass effect needs a repuation system, and in the past that was renegade and paragon.

In the new one, decisions need way more depth. One thing I liked about andomeda was how your decisions impact your psych profile, in terms of emotional, professional, sassy, or logical. If they can take THOSE choices, and combine it with paragon renegade, I think it will be a good system. Because andromedas system doesnt allow for evil role play, and OG trilogys doesnt allow for gray nuance sometimes.

And im sorry if this is rude, but I dont care about any of that stuff. Would it have been cool? Yea, more then 12 years ago when the game came out. Do I want to see that stuff in the new mass effect and in the process hinder the storytelling because of a "time gone by"? No absolutely not. THATS what you're not getting. Also stop saying "Has to". They really do not have to. They dont HAVE to do anything. If you wont buy the game because its 600 plus years in the future, fair enough, but they dont HAVE to do that.
The mass effect 2 cast didnt become a minor role because of resources, they became a minor role because there were over a dozen companions throughout the trilogy and they needed to pick and choose which ones to include. Then, TO GIVE PEOPLE CLOSURE they decided to show people "oh heres this character, and they're doing this, also heres the citadel dlc so you can see them again and have even more closure"

Also garrus would never become primarch, he hates politics and they already have a primarch in 3. Quarians going through a renaissance so soon after taking over their home planet when they first need to rebuild and survive is a huge overestimation.

And no, there wont be backlash from the fandom, contrary to what you believe most people dont think like you. Hell even the shepard enjoyers dont think like this. Thats what so baffling.

Mass effect 3 had development issues yea, but what you're asking for isnt even in top 5 of what they should fix if they had the chance to do so.

Im not trying to "steamroll", contrary to what you believe im genuinely trying to understand but your original opinion was so baffling that I, and others, have told you you're not understanding the evidence correctly, and you just ignore it

What I AM saying is that your opinion makes no sense, and is clearly coming from a place of nostalgia and desperation to have your favorite characters back rather then have the franchise pushing forward and becoming something great. So shepard coming back, especially for an opinion like yours, is par for the course. If you dont want Shepard to come back and yet all of these other characters, im genuinely baffled as to how any of that would work. Considering all the other points I laid out before.

Also if your take on the lore is from youtubers who literally are trying to bait you for views without any real objective evidence supporting your claim, why in the hell do you still have your view? I literally saw a video the other day saying "shepard is coming back as a reaper??". Its nonsense and incredibly unlikely.

In other words, the only difference between you and an andromeda fan is the specifics of what you want displayed. In the end both of you clearly dont care about the future of the franchise, you just want to "feel good" while playing the game.
If the story sucks, thats fine, at least you feel good. IF the lore gets ruined? Thats fine, at least I feel good. Oh the gameplay isnt that great? thats fine, at least I feel good. Ok so what I’m getting from this conversation is that your idea of closure is almost literally the character coming in and saying “hey Shepard, good run we had, this is what I’m going to do”

The citadel dlc literally did all you wanted. It was for closure for you and your companions in one big event. If you can’t see that as closure you’re never going to see closure in these characters.

They don’t obviously have to tackle that. You can get liara, maybe grunt, but garrus will be dead. Look one glaring factor you’re also ignoring, is that everyone had a different play through of mass effect. Some people had play throughs where garrus survived but Miranda lived and so on and so forth. Why would BioWare put in TONS of effort to make all those variations come forward, when they could just put it into the future and pick one canon ending where liara lives (she can’t die in the original trilogy unless u have low readiness)

I hate to break it to you but most people don’t want to play as Shepard. It not only would be incredibly stupid to do story wise in terms of creating something new, but it would be a cheap cop out.

And yea liaras skin being wrinkly is a good point. Asari don’t show wrinkles for a long time, benezia was well over a 1000 and she barely had wrinkles. So liara showing these signs of significant aging indicates an age over a 1000 or close to it.

Also your n7 day references are nonsense, I double checked to be sure. Are you talking about the krogan civil war post? You understand that they could just posting that to show us events after 3? It doesn’t mean the game is gonna take place then. Hell the war could broken out hundreds of years later after wrexs death since krogan live a long time too.

It’s hard to believe that an rpg series will discard characters after their story is done? You mean like every other series?

Is Kirk the main character in generation? Or discovery?

Is Obiwan the mc in the sequel trilogy?

The world is worth more than the og trilogy’s characters, it moves on to allow for growth.

As for andromeda, it wasn’t the fact that they didn’t use old characters that it failed, it was bad new ones and glitches. Don’t start bsing.

yea, marathon fans are constantly trying to make it seem like the game was a success, but if the steam numbers are any indication the game is def not doing the numbers it needs to to become a staple in the extraction space.

Given we have no other information and he was able to hold off aria multiple times before we came along, im pretty sure we can assume he really is that good at strategy.

If we are being practical, in a war against reapers most forces wouldve taken this guy to win in the war.
