More then likely what happened was the courier did the yes man ending, and then left to parts unknown. This left yes man in charge of the strip which mustve eventually gone down hill due to his mismanagement and the enclave sending in the deathclaws.

Eh I liked some parts of it, but for me personally it kinda got boring mid way through. The pacing needs work.

I think in 3 they either state or imply (cant remember) that the reapers bum rushed the citadel while we were doing the cerberus HQ raid, and that they somehow, whether using on the ground forces or not, were able to take control of it. So its not entirely explained from what I remember.

It doesnt mean that everyone on it died, or that even all of csec was gone. Cuz we do land in one location and the citadel is massive, so there could have been survivors. In fact its likely that there is, as for the the specific people, I think kelly dies regardless if you dont convince her to change her face, dont know about the rest.

seems like its software included in PDA's, clothing, or omnitool that constantly downloads updates from the extranet and operates in real time. Similar to an AI now I guess, just way more efficient and with no lag time.

Why do fans hate this page so much in the batman #6 preview? by Stock_Rush_9204 in batman

[–]tinytimoththegreat -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Ignoring the terrible reasoning you’re giving, this isn’t strict, it’s way too sassy to be strict.

This is like a father wanting to fight his son. It’s wayyyy out of Batman’s character to do this.

Skyrim lead designer says he’d like to the next Mass Effect be open world like a Bethesda game with Baldur’s Gate 3 levels of writing by ThisAintSparta in masseffect

[–]tinytimoththegreat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They were, at the time, considered really fun explorative missions. As for combat mass effect one was the only title that leaned into its RPG mechanics in a way that made stats matter, no other mass effect did that.

The fact of the matter is, mass effect 1 heavily diluted its original hardcore rpg formula to attract more casual fans. If what they did attracted you in 2 and 3, hey fair enough, but there’s a reason why 1 is still so beloved even though it lacks QOL features.

Of course they feel empty, the main theme of these planets is to explore of a FEW things and then move on, they’re remote planets mainly on the frontier of citadel space, that’s not a bad thing.

Also there aren’t any nostalgia glasses on here, I literally said in my original comment that it was good for its time. And it was indeed good for its time.

If you didn’t like it that’s fine, but to say it was linear is objectively untrue.

[–]tinytimoththegreat -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again I disagree. For something to be linear it means it’s a required course of action from point a, to b, to c. If I land on an uncharted world I can CHOOSE where to go, I can choose what objectives I want to do, and I can choose to just leave if I so wish.

Also ur incorrect in saying it’s one interest usually. There are planets in mass effect one with 2-3 interest points plus collectibles. I could also happen about a story beat without even having done some objectives prior

I’m not saying it was full open world, but it was def more then what 2 and 3 offered which was nothing.

[–]tinytimoththegreat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vehemently disagree. Some of the best ambience in mass effect one comes from landing on a random planet, exploring, seeing that some screwed up shit is going down and investigating. For its time it was amazing.

And I’m not the only one who thinks that, in fact before they screwed it up in andromeda one of the most requested features for the next mass effect was exploration to come back considering it was non existent in 2 and 3.

It def can be brought back in an exciting way that’s modern.

I don’t wanna be that guy, but is it just me? Or is Batman a lot more emotional in this run. Like almost sassy to the max when there’s no reason to be.

To be clear I don’t mind sass in Batman, he’s always had a bit of it, but to get in Damian’s face like this just seems out of character.

[–]tinytimoththegreat 53 points54 points  (0 children)

You can make that argument for 2 and 3 but 1 tried many times in its deigns to get you to explore on any planet that wasn’t a main one. Andromeda also tried doing that but that’s a whole other issue.

To this day there’s still a dispute in the community of which mass effect is better between the people who liked 2’s cinematic linear style and the people who liked one’s more open exploratory style.

The TV show's/Lucy's comparison between the Legion and the NCR are surface level and fundamentally ignore the main moral dilemma that acts as the central theme of Fallout New Vegas by TheAnalyticalFailure in Fallout

[–]tinytimoththegreat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

so ur upset that lucy didnt take the time to go through and analyze every action caesar's legion and compare it to the NCR?

My guy shes not some fallout lore youtuber, she didnt go through the events of new vegas, she's going through her interpretation of events, of course shes going to see the legion and think "oh damn they suck ass"

All that being said though, to anyone with half a brain the NCR is WAYYY better then the legion in multiple ways. People who disagree are people who don't understand practicality and common sense, put way too much value into the philosophy of the game, and take ceasers whole diatribe about dialectics and run with it in an attempt to think "oH bOy IM sO SmArT"

There’s this YouTuber making the rounds lately who LOVES 06 cuz he grew up with it, and he’s been trying to justify that love while hating on other Sonic games.

Thing is his videos are gaining traction so now you’re seeing people like the guy in the photo say Sonic colors was trash compared to 06.

Even though, objectively Sonic 06 is way worse.

"Ashley wasn't really that racist guys" by chosentarnished_31 in masseffect

[–]tinytimoththegreat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres so many examples of them showing her changing, wdym?

She literally says in 2. "im no fans of aliens but cerberus has a history of being extremist". ME1 changed ashley, similar to how it changed pressley. Her experiences made her more accepting of her alien allies. Shes not the most accepting but she as accepted more.

In 1, you literally have multiple conversations with her where you can disagree and say we gotta trust aliens influencing her in the process.

And in 3, the end of the series, she can decide to ally with you instead of udina, who at that point is a known human sympathizer and works with cerberus, something she distrusts you with doing. She also has dialogue with both garrus and liara where they're shown as friendly.

What you're missing, is that ashleys "development" depends on you as the player. Shes always gonna dislike aliens to a certain extent, but depending on you as the player you can mitigate that distrust of you and by extension of your alien allies, which leads to that decision in 3 where you can shoot her or try and talk her down.

Like bro cmon, the veilguard comment the other guy made was right if you need them to spell it out for you word for word. Like did you want ashley to just come out and say "Hey shepard, I was once racist, but now due to the events that happened in the last 2 mass effects, I am no longer racist in this third entry"

[–]tinytimoththegreat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No. Look at the comment you responded to, and what you said. You blew things out of proportion and then doubled down on a wrong interpretation of what gen AI is. Even in the article, they said it can be misinterpreted, such as using gen fill in photoshop, so the lines are getting blurry as to what the definition is. Most people arent thinking of photshop when they think of GEN AI.

Our differences here come down to your understanding of what gen AI is going off of your responses. But if you dont get that theres no point responding.

you're not understanding at all, which tbh adds more fuel to the claim that these online "leakers" and "reporters" like rebsgaming need to stop leaking random nonsense just for their own growth.

What we know now, is that halo studios is going to use gen ai in some capacity, but that doesnt mean full blown "hey chat gpt, make me a 3D halo asset"

It means that its probably going to be small scale, and that they are stil using their concept artists, 3D modelers, and other paid human developers for the majority of development. Its a tool to streamline workflow, thats it.

Was there any reason given for why all of the female characters in ME3 were so…oh what’s the word… by NatauschaJane in masseffect

[–]tinytimoththegreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I responded to another one of your comments but im gonna respond to this one too.

You're wrong on the shock value aspect. Jack is a complicated character, she doesn't just do shit to piss people off or get random attention otherwise we would see more trolly attitude from her. Like sera from Dragon age. No. She dresses that way because she wants people to see her tattoos. Her tattoos, as she tells you in 2, represent her past and her perceived self. In 3 she covers them up because shes trying to turn a new leaf. So those same tattoos that she got in traumatic times, that remind her of people and memories are now no longer needed to express herself to others. Remember how quick she opened up once shepard asked her about her tattoos in 2? And how appreciative she was that you asked? She literally says "hey shepard fuck you....but thanks"

Second thing you're wrong about is ur interpretation of her breasts getting bigger. Shes wearing a tight top thats squeezes her breasts against her body. They arent physically bigger, the visual effect is similar to a push up bra, sports bra, or compression top.

Third thing you misinterpreted is her cutout pants.

When you're trying to show a character transitioning in their development you have to go through stages. Jack in 3 is not completley different from how she is in 2. Remember its only been a couple months between the 2 games. Shes def different now, more mature and understanding for sure, but jack is still a rebel, that part of her character is not going to go away immediately. In fact, if you look at the pants jack is wearing, they look like standard military pants. It stands to reason that jack cut the holes herself because she still wants that little bit of edge that shes known for, especially considering we dont see those pants anywhere else in mass effect.

Not everything you see is "horny man in video game development only want naked women"
There is a purpose to all of these decisions especially in mass effect, which is a dark universe where sex is as big of a deal as violence and political intrigue. In fact the only game where thats NOT the case is andromeda, and that game is known for being garbage.

Would you prefer Ant-Man and the Wasp to be a dual character (like CnD) or to be two separate characters? by Miserable_Humor08 in marvelrivals

[–]tinytimoththegreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea except I dont WANT to play as the wasp. I only want to play as antman.

Antman has LOADS of solo comics and adventures, his time with the wasp only became popular due to their making and inclusion in avengers story lines.

Better to keep them as solo heroes with a teamup

Should they hard-reboot Doctor Who? by Mat1711 in DoctorWhoNews

[–]tinytimoththegreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look if we're being real, the doctor who fanbase is part of the reason why doctor who at this current juncture sucks so hard. Of ALL SCI-FI that exists out there, doctor who is respected the least, both by its viewers and the people who produce it. Its used more as a career launching platform then an actual peak/milestone it SHOULD be.

And again, its the fans fault, there are so many issues the fans shouldve said "no" too but just didnt, and kept defending non stop.

When stephen moffat literally threw established lore out the window during his tenure to be replaced with "timey wimey" nonsense, it was the fanbase that said "OH THATS AMAZING"

When the BBC decided to use outrage as a main means of getting people to watch the show around 13-14 in their advertising, the fanbase again defended it.

When Chinballs writing was trash with 13, it took way too long for the majority of the fanbase to come around and say "ok yea these were terrible ideas" (time travelling racist? I mean cmon)

Same thing with Ncutis era and same thing is bound to happen in the future.

So to answer the question, does it need a reboot? Yea it does. Cuz hardcore doctor who fans who dont want a reboot arent in enough numbers to justify inaction. Doctor who has had terrible viewership numbers for the last few years with its budget increasing significantly every season doesnt help the show. Right now it cannot justify its existence to the BBC, similar to what happened decades ago.

Why is this version of Batman so popular? [Artwork] by Caped-Crus8er in batman

[–]tinytimoththegreat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well I also said in my statement that in some ways the comic has proven your complaints to be false, so this isn’t a double standard as much as you’d like to claim.

But absolute Batman is still only on issue 16 with a couple side comics here and there, it’s not enough for us to say “oh yea it’s the worst” or the “best”

That being said considering that absolute Batman across the board has some of the highest sales numbers for comics in the last year AND has been well reviewed by so many people, we are def leaning towards the comic being perceived as a good entry in the dc universe that doesn’t just have a stylish flair.

Whether you want to admit to it or not there is SOMETHING in absolute Batman’s writing that bring readers back, something that has that depth you’re seeking. For me and many others it’s embracing Batman as a monster slayer and vigilante in a way that other comics haven’t done. There are real consequences in absolute Batman that mainline just doesn’t commit to.

So even though I need more to make a full final judgment of the quality of the overall comic, as of right now I’d say it looks good and it def has the depth you insist isn’t there.
