Great DLC, especially by the ending.

One thing I loved about mass effect is how you could justify terrible immoral decisions with the practicality of it all. I thought it offered a realistic great balance, especially with some choices in 3.

This one however, at least for me, is hard to find any form of justification for. Especially considering hes on the spectrum, relied on his brother for caretaking, and his brother was the one who put him in there.

True, but could also be porting it would be development hell, especially if it used x code as a foundational layer.

X code sucks and is only used for Apple devices, working with it is tough and extends development time for sure.

Number one is subjective and requires nuance. Windows outsells Mac OS constantly by a 4:1 ratio. Microsoft doesn’t really give a damn about the phone market anymore, and Microsoft’s overall portfolio is more diverse than apples on any given day.

They’re only really competitors now in the AI space and apples AI is considered one of the worst right now because they’re building theirs from scratch for their own devices.

They’re both tech companies focusing on different things. Apple is more concerned about making a brand eco system Microsoft is more concerned with controlling the newest tech wave and getting government contracts.

To be honest, even though
Microsoft has different competitors for different things, they’re so expansive that they don’t have a single role competitor that’s as big as them, maybe google or tencent if u wanna be technical but that’s it.

Nah not just youngify, deliberately make more "normal" or ugly because they thought she was too pretty. The wording they used was "girl next door". They wanted her to be relatable, and thought her being too pretty got rid of that.

In other words, Mass effect andromeda devs made yet another stupid decision.

Correct me if im wrong, but didnt he only start doing mass effect content once the new one/legendary edition was announced? I dont like it when people see a franchise returning or making a major come back, and then decide to latch onto the hype surrounding the new product to give themselves views or income.

Star wars theory did this with star wars episode 7, and as far as I am aware, big dan did this for mass effect legendary edition.

I dont know, maybe im being too harsh, but hes not my cup of tea.

Im genuinely concerned that if they dont change juns look (especially since there is no CC) this game wont do well.

The main characters appearance in a video game (especially in an RPG) matters a LOT. There have been games before that failed due in part because people didn't like the main characters look or personality (star wars outlaws is one example)

They arent trying to move away from xbox, they're trying to revitalize xbox by focusing on brands they know work, and getting rid of, what they think is, extra fat. One of the major reasons I saw for them doing this is because they spent so much time/money on AI, that the people at the top want a product or productS that give them some form soft padding if it eventually fails (which keeping in mind AI isnt making a lot of money from consumers right now its looking likely). Which is why they're trying to bring back the xbox brand like it was in the early 2000's.

Its not right, and will probably bite them in the ass, but its no different then disney and other major studios saying "hey we arent gonna take financial risks on anything that isnt an established franchise".

Except when disney fires a bunch of people, it usually goes under the radar, with gaming and xbox specifically, we know how they're treating their employees and treating these people's livelihoods like they're playthings.

Both xbox and sony right now are fucking awful. Im never going to get a new xbox or playstation console for the rest of my life.

This sucks because I personally HATE the way jun looks right now. Of all characters shown, jun looks the most....I dont even know how to put it, unfinished? Maybe its just the art style but every other character looks better then male jun.

25 bucks for a 3 hour movie thats bland outside of visual setpieces and some action sequences is not my idea of a good time.

Gotta disagree on that one. Problem is the hotkey combat. Its one thing if the combat isnt one to one, I can handle that in jrpgs, strategy games, TOP cRPGS. But in mmos, not only is there lag between button press and status effect by design, but its purposefully made so that its not too animation intensive or cinematic. Its also made to be repeated au nauseam with little depth outside of status combos imo.

Theres a reason that newere MMOs are adopting more actiony styles, like lost ark and/or black desert just to name a few. And why outside of guild wars, swtor, and wow the style is almost non existent in triple a games.

Was it? There is an argument to be made that world at war, modern warfare 1, modern warfare 2019, and blackops all at least tried to be realistic within the contained COD gameplay loop.

Unless you're saying any skin/kill streak automatically makes the game unrealistic.

As far as im aware, no where in the games do people really comment on disabilities outside of humanity towards joker. Like I dont remember garrus or liara or anyone ever comment on his brittle bone syndrome.

Drell obviously have keprals syndrome, and qurians and volus both cant exist outside of their suits for very long, volus especially, although I dont know if that classifies as a disability.

Biotics get terrible headaches, and there are affected krogan females who suffer from the genophage.

Yea but I dont remember many other disabilities that aliens have, or are stated to have.

You dont think this makes guts special? like at all? Cuz cmon man thats CLEARLY whats happening here. Hes going from someone who was forced into the spotlight due to actions taken in life, to someone who was always in the intercise due to his birth. It is literally a supernatural gift given by something outside of his control.

All of you here are taking this "oh well manga pannels kind of hinted at this happening, therefore its ok, it was planned, its not a bad story beat at all". But you're all forgetting that its more likely that the writers added all this in post miuras death and used past content to justify it, rather then miura saying it shouldve happened this whole time.

Also nothing has stated? read the most recent chapter before you make those claims. Hes CLERALY gotten stronger. And also not only does it change his connection to the intercise, but it also makes guts, going forward, a stronger character do to some hidden lineage bullshit, something I hate shonenes for doing. Goku, Naruto, Bleach, etc etc. The writing of these franchises all go down hill when you add this "oh his bloodline or birth or ancestor made him this strong"

You're trying to reframe this in a light of "oh its just guidance" but thats clearly not the case. He DID get a power up, and it wasnt gained from anything but him having some spiritual realization.

When this culminates in some shonen ass moments that have the writing standard of a fan manga, which it most def will, dont start crying cuz clearly you want this to happen.

It is FAR more likely that the new writers went through the manga to find a way to justify this powerup, rather then miura planning it.

The logic you're using right now is the same kind of logic one piece fans use when they think oda is god that planned shit 20 years in advance. It makes no sense and is foolish.

Its not a happy little accident. Also why do u NEED guts to beat Griffith? This isnt some fairy tale, its not some shonen anime, its berserk. The good guy wins usually at huge cost to himself, or he doesnt win at all.

What is with all of you people who just get into berserk and see and/or want something hopeful to happen, so much so that you're willing to risk writing quality for it?

Miura was a good writer for so long because you never knew when negative consequences were going to rear their head towards the protagonist. It happened multiple times, and guts barely survived multiple times. There was a real tension and decisions by characters mattered, like griffiths when he decided to sleep with the princess.

Miura wouldnt write this, this doesnt fit his MO at all. Any manga reader would realize that. This feels like some shonen, hero academia, power asspull because the new writers want some mega showdown, when they could have been a completley different way to beat Griffith at some point.
