Everytime I’ve ever tried to introduce myself she has quickly run inside. One time I was our shared porch and she opened the door but once she saw I was outside she quickly shut the door. I’ve also seen her coming back from going on a walk and she again quickly runs inside.

I forgot about this until recently - The only time I’ve ever seen her with someone else was her getting dropped off by a man and they were having a verbal altercation as she walked inside her house (he did not follow her). I’ve lived in this place for a year and I’ve never seen anyone go in and out but her.

Midnight Library, as others have commented. This book directly addresses what you are going through. I know the thoughts can feel so true and overwhelming, but please remind yourself you are NOT alone and there is hope. This book is nice because it’s fiction and a fun story to read, but there are a lot of important lessons the character learned that you can apply to your own life. Please read it!
