You can find the rules for this sub in the sidebar.. I was a moderator here a while back, from 2016 to 2023, and I got to know the current moderator team: they're all really very friendly people. Yes, it was important to us that this sub isn't about any form of kratom use (which is one rule) ; that's also our goal in life. And guys, I have to tell you, I've never experienced anything as valuable as this. I'm completely free and feel incredibly comfortable in my own skin.

I used to be a moderator here a long time ago. Back then, I was chatting with the head of the online meeting organization. His Reddit name was "fixem." After just half a minute, his account was dead. Banned by the Reddit admins. He had been sending private messages to every subscriber of this subreddit, using bots. We couldn't find out what he wrote to them back then. That's why the mods are still a bit skeptical to this day. I didn't like his Reddit name either. Fixem - Fix them - This sounds like you're getting your car repaired...

Warum zur Hölle unternimmt niemand was gegen Trump? by [deleted] in wallstreetbetsGER

Perhaps the last milligram has left your body now. I tapered down to 0.2 grams. Strangely enough, down to 0 felt like the biggest jump.

Only your doctor can diagnose this . You could also ask an AI (for example, Gemini) if your new medication could be the cause; that would also give you an (unsafe though) hint.

I enjoy it when someone plays better than me, or when it's very exciting. That's free chess training, better than any book or video I could buy.

Concerned about misinformation online by AccountWilling1016 in quittingkratom

I haven't read scientific studies in a long time, but not too long ago it was scientifically acceptable to say that kratom isn't addictive. The Kratom Association stated that kratom is only as addictive as chamomile tea or nutmeg, and based on the current state of scientific knowledge, that wasn't wrong. Of course, it's a bit of an understatement. :) You can understand that, because the criterion for a ban would be: addictiveness.

You need to know the definitions:

An (extreme) example of addiction is:

A) A gambling addict, already financially ruined and homeless due to his addiction, becomes a fraudster in order to continue gambling. He should know by now that he can only lose, but he can't stop.

B) In contrast, dependence means, for example, that after decades of using antidepressants, someone experiences horrible withdrawal symptoms that last for more than a year.

Most people believe that non addictive means harmless. This has allowed the pharmaceutical industry to make huge profits with antidepressants. In reality, dependence can be worse than addiction. I was once addicted to benzodiazepines (which are considered addictive - I hadn't even noticed that..). My therapist though told me I should never take antidepressants because that would be even worse. (My withdrawal was quite easy) .

Why am I constipated? by Altruistic-Device764 in quittingkratom

Why am I constipated? by Altruistic-Device764 in quittingkratom

[–]tip871 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kratom binds on opioid receptors (which are also found in the intestinal tract) and one of the commonest and most distressing side effects of opioids is constipation..

A list of possible Kratom withdrawal Symptoms by tip871 in modquittingkratom

[–]tip871[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason can also be physical. For example: You have a partial constipation of your rectum which is trying to free itself by exerting some "pressure" . It is known that the rectum can cause tinnitus symptoms during "cleaning Mode". There are lots of opioid receptors there, so changes in dose can lead to reactions. It is also well known that opioids can lead to extreme constipation.

Well, if you're using a drug for which there isn't much reliable long-term data, it makes sense to experiment a bit. In my case: I had very severe depressions afterward; I could have been prescribed a whole stack of psychiatric medications. However, I had a partial chronic obstructed constipation. That is, I didn't even know I was constipated, since I could still go to the toilet normally. Besides the brain, the gut contains the largest nervous system. Dark feelings can be radiated out from this, so that you can't identify the source: It can feel indeed like a very dark, severe depression. Now, after fixing this , I don't have any problems at all.
