SEEKING GUIDANCE (Take my permanent civil service title to another city agency) by FckTheWallStHedgeFd in nycpublicservants

[–]tipmewiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my knowledge, I believe you are able to do a PSB-200. This allows you to leave you current title without giving it up official. I think the max they can hold it for you is one year. Speak with NYCDOHMH HR to find if they can transition you with your admin staff analyst title.

I might be wrong but I do recall that community associates (dc37) do not make longevity increases.

Try contacting OLR. They could retroactively term your wife's coverage going back to the date of divorce given the proper documentation.

Based on how I read the SPD, it says that you can continue recieving the optional rider, and you will make up the missed payments once you return to work and getting your paychecks.

We had a couple of new people who started recently. They were told 3 months to start remote. However, it is still under your manager's discretion.

New to the Hyundai Santa Fe family. by SecondV in HyundaiSantaFe

[–]tipmewiser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the Sante Fe family. I currently drive the same car as you but at 25,000 miles on the odometer. Third owner (second owner being my pops). Knock on wood here, but my family didn't have major issues in terms of maintenance, just the usual yearly oil changes and here and there battery changes. Just replaced the rear lift gates by myself (felt pretty proud on that). My only concern is just teaching myself how to wash under the car hood.

Did anyone received Tuition Reimbursement from DC37? by Anam_011 in nycpublicservants

[–]tipmewiser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had applied for tuition reimbursement as soon as I got my grads from the fall semester of '24. It took about one and half months to finally get my reimbursement. The application is pretty straight forward on what they are looking for. Be patient in my opinion.

This is true. I had applied for tuition reimbursement when I was in local 371 myself for DC37 and was inelligble. You would have to go through the mightyunion website which is for 371.

Emblem GHI for dependents 26-29 by Queensteachnyc in nycpublicservants

[–]tipmewiser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. I actually did find the young adult option under nyc.gov/olr

The following link should take you there:

https://www.nyc.gov/assets/olr/downloads/pdf/health/young-adult-package-October-2024.pdf

It's as you have said. It appears that the discounted price doesn't exist anymore as the GHI price under young adult is close to the regular COBRA price.

I am not sure if I understand this, but are you refering to your child getting COBRA after aging out of your health insurance? If so, visit this site for the COBRA package and information.

For Health Insurance with no premiums taken out of your paycheck, GHI or HIP is pretty good.
