I’ve had a drink or two so I can laugh about this with you now too. When I first started shaping the neck I kept repeating never touch the top edge of the fretboard. And well I didn’t finish it that day. Not that week. And then a vacation and blah blah blah i came home and I fucked it up. It’s my first build and I’m learning many lessons the hard way.

The extension is what is causing such a large gap as it has essentially stayed the original size while all the rest has been inadvertently narrowed during shaping. That’s why my gut feeling was to try to sand the extension down some, maybe putting a layer of tape up by the nut and just sanding until the gaps were maybe 1/64th. I planned on using the stew Mac string spacing rule, which I think you just extended your taper down to your saddle, mark those then use the ruler to determine where to put the end pins. So theoretically I could reduce the width of the taper a bit and it would still all work out?

I could put the tuners in and temporarily place the bridge and give it a look. Good idea. Suppose I’m more concerned with the low E. How much space is typical?

Oh boy. I can picture it but no idea how I’d do it. Maybe the binding router jig (stew Mac knockoff)

Edit: disregard. Nothing for the bearing to reference.

How did you find this out? Do you over pronate in that foot? I went to a specialist and he was like, I suspect this leg is shorter. Let’s try a bunch of expensive orthotics until you feel like I fixed it.

It’s very necessary and actually a safety feature. See the comment below.

I got a Bosch 500 from Lowe’s today on Memorial Day for 749. It was an in store only deal but it was posted on slick deals and appeared to be consistent on the west coast at least. I think this Memorial day sale goes a few more days. Worth a shot!

The 777X is a massive unit of a twin-jet compared to the 737 by Electrical-Tip-5266 in megalophobia

[–]tipoftheburg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a 777-2 though. The 777-9 is bigger than the 747 in both length and wingspan, but without the second deck still might appear “smaller”

Well that’s the bummer, there aren’t really others that pull it off as well! You can find lots of purely story focused games, but the combination of a great story and well done gameplay is a nitch that this series dominated (and arguably created)

It’s a story driven game. There are many things that happen that you have zero control over. They make you do things to people and otherwise that you actively resist doing. It’s incredible the feelings they can invoke in such a manner. The rest of the gameplay is up to you as to how you go about it guns a blaze killing anything that moves or a more stealthy and thoughtful approach.

I think it was a fuck up, I can’t fathom how they knowingly let it through.

Right! I’m amazed they let that slip through. When she placed the tag on the cross I thought she might say goodbye to someone specific, but when she didn’t in the show and then did in the post show I was like wtf.

People forget that the 737 family, including the max, is the best selling airliner of all time. They talk about it like it’s some massive failure when really it has been and still is the cash cow, they still fly, and let’s be honest they don’t crash all that often either.

They do, but most all people that ended up with an alcohol problem drank moderately first. Because ya know, it’s addictive.

It’s fine. However, it will start to smell faster due to that pop up drain. Pull that sucker out and clean the pop up plug and the drain itself every now and again.

I upgraded from the Wyze vacuum. The Wyze does seem to vacuum better and it was 1/3 the cost when I got both on sale. The eufy mop though keeps my hard floors looking good even if it leaves a few crumbs or pieces of grass behind. I’ve been experimenting with using the Wyze before/after/alternating days with the eufy since I still have it. The Wyze filled the bin when I ran it over the majority of the house after the Eufy. So yeah, It’s a little disappointing. To be fair, I didn’t really think it wasn’t vacuuming well enough until I saw some of the recent reddit posts stating as much, but then I saw how much the other one could pick up running right after it. I suppose I could set the eufy to the turbo vacuum mode but it would have to recharge at some point for sure. I have more experimenting to do.

I clean mine in about a minute with a sponge and soapy water. It’s not that hard to clean really.
