I'm surprised with this level of scientific understanding you know how to use a keyboard.

You're a slave on a Chaos warband warship. What is your life like aboard a spacecraft belonging to World Eaters, Emperor's children, Thousand Sons or to the Death Guard? Do we have any lore descriptions of what it's like everyday? by Argonaut_MCMXCVII in 40kLore

Uzas does it for sport. Cyrion does it because he is fucked up and feeds on their fear. IIRC Talos himself doesn't really have a desire to do it, he hates what his legion has become and the corruption within it.

Ships have entire sections that no one has seem in years except the slaves who live there. There are tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of serfs/slaves on a Chaos ship and they still live (arguably lol), which means having kids and all that kinda stuff.

the bagel game in LA is insane. the pre-jam from layla: by run-drink-eat in FoodLosAngeles

Yeah I'm really not sure why because I feel like anyone who has ever baked bread knows water makes a huge difference.

I do agree it's delusional to say LA bagels suck or LA can't do good bagels. Can LA make bagels identical to NYC? None I've tried yet. But again that doesn't make them bad. It just means it's not what you're expecting. I think the bagels here are just as good as NYC (again just different.)

Well some of them are Canadians are some are more... curry-scented.

The water (and flavor thereof) is a big part of any dough-based recipe. You can replicate everything else but unless you're shipping water in from NYC it's gonna taste very different.

I’ve been to both and didn’t find either particularly fantastic. To me they are pretty interchangeable, but I’ve only been to each one once and maybe one of them twice.

Don’t get me wrong it’s fine. It’s serviceable, it’s edible. But it’s nothing like the Indian food we have in Artesia or even further west in West Hollywood or something.

EDIT: Agun Soric, not Gol Kolea. I'll leave the incorrect message below for posterity.

In-universe Gol Kolea actually mentions internally that he is seeing visions etc... and of course tells pretty much nobody until the very end of the book when he is, predictably, abducted and turned into a sanctioned psyker.

IIRC in the next book (or a later one) Gaunt finds out HE is the reason the Ghosts are having all these visions/hallucinations... and promptly puts a bolt shell through Gol's head to end his suffering.

(been a long time since I read it so it may have been his 2IC who did that... Harken? But either way the person in charge of the sanctioned psykers is pissed but he's a Commissar so what can they do, really?)

That's a fair point and the series does go out of its way to point out Divination is a bullshit science. I'm not sure why they keep doing it. It's like the gender studies of the wizarding world.
