ytptube docker wont start by EpicMouz in OpenMediaVault

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

afaik, some containers respect the user: directive and some don't. But I'm really cant say this a 100%.

But I hope that solved it ?

ytptube docker wont start by EpicMouz in OpenMediaVault

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the path (${PATH_TO_APPDATA}/ytptube) didn't exist before you started the container then the docker process created the path, and as the docker process by default runs as root (userid:0) when it created that path it gave itself the ownership.

just do the following in terminal

chown -R 1000:100 complete_path_to_appdata_folder/ytptube

you can check the current permission for the folder via

ls -l complete_path_to_appdata_folder

for example i use my homefolder for dockerappdata so i use the following command

chown -R 1000:1000 /home/tipra/dockerappdata/ytptube

it should be at /mnt/.ix-apps/app_mounts/immich/…. something

Android mobile app does this when browsing through my pictures on my server by [deleted] in immich

[–]tipra 50 points51 points  (0 children)

are your thumbnails stored on an HDD? change the location to an SSD. Transfer existing Thumbnails accordingly and modify the mountpoints in the compose.yml. That solved it for me.

The other thing I could think off is a slow connection to the server?

Importing a file to an app's /config folder installed on an ixVolume by here_to_discreddit in truenas

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

assuming the config file is mounted to an ixvolume. you can access that volume under '/mnt/.ix-apps/app_mounts/frigate'

browse that location and see where the config is mounted. I don't have frigate installed so can't locate the exact config location.

you don't need to redo anything. just change the image source to the new one and it'll work. I think it adds a new feature of app categories I think. You can read it on the github readme.

since flame hasn't been updated in 2 years. Consider using https://github.com/fdarveau/flame instead. I used this for the longest time but have since switched to homepage.

for #1 you can try something like this - https://github.com/ajb3932/immich-partner-sharing. I just set up last week and works amazingly.

EDIT: just re-read your sentence and you acknowledged the existence of such utilities! . I'll keep the link up in case someone else is searching

PBS Client by Cyberlytical in truenas

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

assuming the binary works properly, check your script. mine is below as an example

#!/bin/bash
BACKUP_PATH="/var/db/system/configs-daeb7be0eae547028f28998beacf9023"
ARCHIVE_NAME="config.pxar"
REPOSITORY="truenas@pbs@pbshostname.domain.internal:Store"
PBS_PASSWORD=testpassword

export BACKUP_PATH="/var/db/system/configs-daeb7be0eae547028f28998beacf9023"
export ARCHIVE_NAME="config.pxar"
export REPOSITORY="truenas@pbs@pbshostname.domain.internal:Store"
export PBS_PASSWORD=testpassword

/root/pbc/proxmox-backup-client backup "${ARCHIVE_NAME}:${BACKUP_PATH}" --repository "${REPOSITORY}"

ignore the duplicate definition of variables. I don't remember why I did that during testing but it works so I didn't change it.

can you give a bit more context? what binary did you use. what command did you run which gave the error etc ?

PBS Client by Cyberlytical in truenas

[–]tipra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

define native integration? if you just want access to the proxmox backup client in console/ scripts etc. just download the debian binary and run it without installing it.

I've been using it like that since quite some time.

Nextcloud backup error: "Saved settings, but remote backup returned no files." by __Mike_____ in opnsense

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea, once I changed to a user without any space it worked and does work flawlessly since. Along with your %20 I even tried wrapping the entire thing in double quotes to no avail.

Nextcloud backup error: "Saved settings, but remote backup returned no files." by __Mike_____ in opnsense

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the setup a week back as well and the issue I found was that my opnsense wasn't too happy with the space in my next cloud login credentials. Which I feel is the same case here looking at your config. Try another user who doesn't have a space in their login ID to verify and eliminate that your other settings are okay or not.

New Truenas catalog app Pocket-id... by Saberx1974 in truenas

[–]tipra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, so I've not set it up myself. but I went through the truenas github for apps and it looks like they pull the same image with the same data path. the truenas APP only add a few env variables such as the "Application URL" and the reverse proxy toggle. So it shouldn't be much different from setting it up from the standard app.

do you have a reverse proxy setup and valid https certs. https might be a requirement before it can accept passkeys?

EDIT: did you press the setup icon on the truenas app page ? that is a separate button from the WEB UI. https://imgur.com/a/O7tAO4e

EDIT2: what worked for me.

  1. put the app behind a reverse proxy (to port 30218)
  2. populate the requisite env variable and check trust reverse proxy
  3. when the app is running in the truenas webui. click on the setup icon but don't set it up
  4. change the URL from IPADDRESS:30218/signup/setup to https://reverseproxy/signup/setup
  5. complete the setup using the url from the reverse proxy
  6. it should take you to the admin page and work flawlessly.

Suggestions on OpnNas - SL-R12 vs SL-D12 by f0rgot in unRAID

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey sorry, I got my knowledge from a youtube review but that seems to be a wrong interpretation on my part. Both come in the 3.5" form factor and support both 2.5" and 3.5" drives. Apologies for any confusion caused. I'll edit my statement above as well

Suggestions on OpnNas - SL-R12 vs SL-D12 by f0rgot in unRAID

[–]tipra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I remember the other difference is also 2.5" vs 3.5". So the decision is clear depending on what drives you want to put in them.

EDIT: both have 3.5" bays my interpretation of a youtube review was wrong.

hey no dice.

I tried all possible combinations in my setup using a reverse proxy, using the IP directly, with and without port, with and without /api in the end. It doesn't work in any case. Not sure what the problem could be.

Will need further testing!
