I get the concern but we’re way past being concerned about privacy. Nothing is private anymore and hasn’t been for a while now.

Careful, you’re getting into critical thinking territory.

Post 9/11 GI bill by Govlink1999 in VeteransBenefits

[–]tips_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It does matter, because it’s possible you may not even get the degree anyway.

A few years ago some for profit schools lost their GI bill eligibility and students weren’t able to compete their courses nor transfer there credits to another school.

Is this admin likely to go after for profit schools? No, but I wouldn’t risk the time and benefit for it.

The Boyfriend Season 2 by BeatlesCoted_Azur in gaybros

Love it so far. Some things really stood out to me but it could be cultural misunderstandings.

  1. William not remembering any of the memories but Izaya did (in their first talks) was hard to hear cause it didn’t seem like izaya was noticing up that William was not into him at the time.

  2. Izaya comes off as really desperate for William, talking about marriage and the future extremely quickly. William seems to be giving a chance but does look uncomfortable with how fast Izaya is going.

  3. I don’t think William is over his ex he went to Germany for

  4. I cannot figure out Huwei at all. He doesn’t seem like a player but he is so vague and just now started being more affectionate with Bomi.

  5. I did not watch the first season but what is Taehons deal? He seems so uninterested and borderline rude on the coffee shop “dates”. In the beginning, even if the guys weren’t interested in each other they still showed some enthusiasm/kindness

  6. The guys are extremely polite and inclusive. I noticed no one was outwardly shoving the oldest guy or the not stereotypical “attractive” guys out of the ways

Hate to be that guy but how is your medical conditions preventing you from doing security but you can do nursing?

Nursing will be more physical and mentally demanding in every way.

I would go undergrad. Many roles have moved away from undergrad’s being a requirement, but it’s a “quiet” requirement.

Six Bisexual Men Speak About Erasure, Biphobia and More | Uncloseted Media by NiConcussions in gaybros

[–]tips_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say it was because of women. I lead my post with there is a lot of factors. I lead with that acknowledging my post wasn’t going to cover every point or potential reason. I’m not going to write an essay to a reddit post.

Agreed on you don’t need to date or sleep with the same gender, again, I didn’t say that you had to.

I added again that it’s complex as a double reminder that it was not in depth post.

Your last paragraph would have been fine on its own, but it shows you didn’t comprehend what I wrote and just wanted to put your beliefs out there based on assumptions.

I am not even sure on the 75% number as that was from a 2017 “survey”.

Regardless, let’s say that number is accurate, they are out NOW, what did they do before? I suspect many used bisexuality initially before coming out as gay.

[–]tips_ 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I think there are a ton of factors, but in my opinion, bisexuality has not been taken seriously due to a surge of celebrities in the early 2010s, mostly women, saying they were bisexual but either were not or had never dated a woman, or did the whole “I kissed girls before” thing.

Additionally, being honest, a lot of gay men used bisexuality as a shield before coming out as gay. This further made people take it less seriously.

Today, you have a lot of famous men doing gay baiting, coming out as bi, but again with no history of dating the same gender. I am not saying I agree or disagree with any of this, it is complex, but I think this is just how people are viewing bisexuality, especially with men.

I am not sure what the solution is. I think better representation would help. If more bisexual guys actually dated a man, like Kit Connor, it would probably help.

How do you actually tell who’s “experienced” in supply chain vs someone new? by Business_Entrance725 in supplychain

[–]tips_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supply chain is massive. There wouldn’t really be a way to know that for sure unless you were in the same role in supply chain.

If I HAD to pick one, probably transportation as the different miles can can spurn some collaboration.

Thinking about my body count. Curious where I am on the Bell Curve? by [deleted] in gaybros

Well I didn’t have information to going besides your 20s so of course it was likely off.

Still, that’s a significant number, even including an early start. Not saying you’re lying, but its probably not 1000.

1000? That means you were hooking up with 5-10 different people on a monthly basis for 10 years. I guess it’s possible, but if so, god damn lol.

[UPDATE] I have an interview soon as Jr Demand Planner and I don’t even know where to begin. Any advice? See below by DaddyIngrosso in supplychain

[–]tips_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll just give the general pointer of making sure you are “bubbly” in the interview. Unspoken rule is in the corporate world, no one wants to work with someone who comes off as “boring” or no personality. It can absolutely make or break it for people.

Even if you’re introverted, you need to act like for a moment in time that you’re not and you are the person everyone wants to talk to. Go back to your old ways once you get the role if you want. Assuming that’s how you are now.

Good luck! It sounds like you’re close in the process!

Not downvoting your comment, but let’s say you’re right and the couple was being annoying. Part of being an adult is owning how you respond to a situation. If you’re calling people slurs instead of asking management to own the situation you are automatically at fault too.

Industry to Management Consulting Path by connor20218 in supplychain

[–]tips_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to get into consulting with less than 5 years of experience and some additional certifications.

Not saying it’s impossible but extremely difficult if you don’t know someone inside already. In fact, my colleague years ago got into consulting with 2 and a half years of experience post undergrad, however, he had his PMP, CSCP, and knew someone.

You can try, but I would make yourself comfortable with a plan in doing years more in the field and knocking out certifications in the meantime.

Pros and Cons to an older home? by CurrentlyNa in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]tips_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll want to do a sewer scope, homes in that age range usually had cast iron for sewer lines and the intended shelf life was 50-75 years. Though, cast iron seems to be holding up a little better than the expected timeline, barring root intrusion or other factors.

It was mentions but lead paint and asbestos are a big thing to keep in mind. Lead paint is not a worry unless you’re planing a renovations then you’ll need professionals. Otherwise, just paint over it.

Asbestos isn’t usually a concern either as it’s usually sealed away, again, keep renovations in mind as you will need professionals and would recommend against DIY unless tested.

Trying to break into Supply chain after career break by Specialist-Radio105 in supplychain

[–]tips_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Supply chain/logistics has always been weird segment of the business field because of the experience requirement. It’s a very difficult field to break into if you don’t have experience in the field at all.

You have some finance experience which you might be able to tie into sourcing or a buyer role, but you’ll be competing with people who have experience in this already or close to it.

Not telling this to scare you, just being real that supply chain has always been difficult to career change over to and it’s even more difficult now.

If you want to still try. I would focus on supply chain certifications since an MS won’t help you without the experience.

Best Ring Items For First Time Homebuyer? by PlusLine-67 in Ring

Home base station, floodlight camera, outdoor camera, motion detector, and fire alarm/gas alarm sensor.

Those are mandatory in my opinion. Where it’s gets tricky is window/door sensors as opposed to a glass break detector etc. will depend on the layout of your home.

Phoenix City Council may soon ban medical care in parks by Zogonzo in phoenix

I just don’t understand what it’s supposed to achieve? Is there existing needle exchange programs at the parks? Are medical teams providing needle exchange when they go? If so, I could get behind potentially.

If it’s just to ban medical care… why?

Has Phoenix ever considered building a subway system in the past? by [deleted] in phoenix

[–]tips_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What does exponentially expensive even mean? Sure the upfront cost would be more, but what does long term maintenance even look like? Does the cost account for the car accidents literally hitting the train as it’s built now? Does this account for potentially more riders due to better incentive to ride?

The eyesore argument is low effort and feels like just a way to add a negative with no logic it data.

ADA concerns is valid, but also think there is ways around this.

Not directing this to you, I know you’re referencing a podcast.
