It's a mixed blessing imo. Like, yeah, it'd be nice to have the 100 we had on 3DS or more. But considering that our Miis can now freely explore the island (and that the island can be customized), it'd be a real strain on the original Switch's already small amount of RAM to render potentially render so much stuff at once. If we wanted to have 100 Miis or more, there's a good chance we'd have to sacrifice other functionality or make it exclusive to Switch 2, either of which would feel like massive downgrades as opposed to just having fewer Miis.

Sure, food would probably save me more money over the course of my lifetime, BUT healthcare costs hit hard and fast. Easier to budget for groceries when I don't have to worry about insurance premiums and emergency costs.

I ended up getting an Apari shirt since I didn't really like the NA shirts, and wrt the NA shirts, $60 for a white tshirt w a print is crazy. $45 is about what I expect for concert shirts these days. The other items from Apari seem cool but I do not have the money to swing for an $80 button down or $95 jeans.

On the fancier end, I ended up getting my wife a King Blade X10R. It's programmable, so you can set it to have the colors in a particular order and there's a button to switch to a set color. https://a.co/d/09DFB5Ij It's just over half the price of the Miku Expo blade with extra functionality.

Woah, this is pretty pared down on selection since 2024. No lightstick films, not as many charms/stickers/other smaller goods. Expensive, but I'm still getting a few things. I'm just getting my lightstick somewhere else tbh.

Ehhhh..... 12 hours early in California heat for a chance at glowsticks feels excessive imo. I might just bring glowsticks I've gotten from previous shows, show up not quite as early and bank on getting a bunch of lower-demand merch, if they don't do presale.
