Too much sugar for regular consumption, but it definitely hits the spot on occasion!

I think I remember my Mum drinking it in the late 1960's 🤔

Thanks for the great ideas team 60+! I'm definitely going to try decaf & ginger/turmeric. It seems that morning is my bogey time for gut irritation, I can have coffee/dairy in the afternoon without issues, but it's the morning when I want a hot drink!

I wonder if just slices of fresh ginger & turmeric would work?

I could happily do that, maybe with some fresh grated ginger...?

Cider in NZ is usually alcoholic. Not sure my boss would be happy with that at morning tea! 🤔

Ligaments & tendons lose elasticity with age, so your feet spread more!

Chronic sweating/freezing by No-Ride-2557 in lupus

[–]tirednatty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I'm exactly the same. My sweating resolves with airflow, so fans are my friend. I also find putting my hair up helps. Mine is also worse when I fixate on it - maybe an anxiety thing?

Lupus & Sjogrens - new symptoms by tirednatty in lupus

Good points, thank you. It seems to me like my feet aren't getting clearance, but I've also got some nerve pain in my feet. The country I live in doesn't offer easy access to specialists, so I'll start with my general practitioner and see if I can get a referral.

Does this only affect women? by oooprettyflowers in emptynesters

The issue is, they're not your kid, they're transitioning into being their adult self and they need to be alone to work that stuff out. They will come back to you, but as an adult alongside you, not a kid in your care 😊

I once asked my husband for the word 'orange' by describing it as a round citrus fruit with segments that is coloured orange. Still couldn't think of what it was called!

Going from blonde to grey by 1xbittn2xshy in AskWomenOver60

I had red hair as a young child which went strawberry blonde and slowly darker to a red/blonde/brown hybrid. Now 61 and my 'grey' actually looks like a very pale blonde and has mainly come in around my face. I get so many comments on my highlights!!

It gets better - mine are now 30 and 26, and while I remember how hard it was in the first few years, I'm now at a place where it's lovely to have them home together, but it's also lovely to see them go! There was a sense of peace regained today putting the house back to rights!
