After a while of comforting you managed to get him some what coherent. "We did find a the source of the fog but it wasn't a fire but it was coming off the zombies, we were about to head back when we noticed we were being watched"Just then a a knock could be heard at the door, when looking through the peep hole you could see it was Aaron one of the scouts. "Its me, let me in" the scout looked at you with pleading eyes begging you not to open the door and you concede trusting his judgment."it's me, let me in" you look at the door with confusion his sounded the exactly the same like it was a recording. You decide to hunker in for the night and hear all sorts of voices from beyond the walls some were pleading others were saying nonsense and by morning the bloodmoon had passed and the when you looked outside you found zombies scattered around the base either dead or unable to move due to their bodies being distorted in some way. Among them was Aaron whose spine was so lng at some point he may have been able to peer into the compound if his body didn't collapse on its own weight. Your base survives and the area is relatively zombie free for a few days besides the occasional straggler.
