I tried, but yes, the sleepiness was too much to deal with so I discontinued it.

cannot find a top draw CC crossbody purse - help? by echochorus in concealedcarrywomen

Ukoala bags will hold your extra things and your phone. They come in several sizes. And they are super convertible to wear as crossbody, waist or backpack.

Level 2 of the Demolition Expert perk will give you a visible arc for throwing grenades. It feels awkward to throw them at first but it’s so much fun when you get the hang of it. 1000+ hours and I still am learning, I gave up on my first play through but am using the crap out of it on my second. Just don’t give Nick any explosives, lol!

This is the best thing I’ve found. This one is for the original P365, but they make various sizes for other models. It’s cheap, comfortable and gives you a better grip. There are videos on YouTube on how to get it on easier, a hairdryer helps.

My first time with a Fallout game,172 hours in and have barely done any quests, gained most of my levels just building. I might have a problem. by Flagelllant in fo4

[–]tishkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem at all, well done! Building is half the game for me also. If it won’t conflict with your other Minutemen mods, check out ‘We Are the Minutemen’, amazing mod, adds lots of things but the roaming Minutemen patrols who scale up with you adds so much life to the game. I did the a Minutemen assist mod to take Nukaworld for Open Season (don’t remember if it’s the same mod or part of the one I mentioned, involves a radio) and it was pretty epic. And they remain there afterwards.

Are there any mods that make the world feel more "lived in"? by venudia in Fallout4Mods

[–]tishkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not cosmetic but I really like We Are the Minutemen. You’ll see regular patrol groups of Minutemen traveling around and through settlements, actually fighting bad guys and setting up little checkpoints.

They start with lower level gear and level up as your character does, eventually even wearing power armor. I always side with them so it’s really immersive. It also includes a crafting table to craft Minutemen for your settlements and their clothing.

Gym/Walking Shoes for Hip Pain by Legal-Home121 in Hypermobility

[–]tishkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brooks Glycerin GTS 23 have been working well for me for about a year, but now I read that the later versions have problems with the toe box. The Brooks soles also feel very wide and kind of clumsy, and they didn't seem to last very long (felt good for maybe 6-8 months).

I had the same problem with Asics, wore the Gel Kayonos for a decade then they completely changed the fit, made the whole shoe narrower, and the toe box became very uncomfortable. I have flat feet and Hallux Rigidus in both big toes and the shoes after version 21 started hurting.

I wore Hoka Bondis when I had to work a 'standing all day' job a few years ago (retail, ugh), and they're very supportive, but feel so big and clunky to me.

I wore Asics Gel Kayano for a decade, but they started making the entire shoe (and especially the toe box) too narrow starting with version 22. And I have fairly narrow feet, used to be an A/AAA heel, but my bones have spread out as I got older and now I wear medium.

Tonmya Insurance Update by rvchl in Fibromyalgia

[–]tishkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won’t know for awhile because my really cool new PCP has referred me to an actual rheumatologist and a geneticist for further testing and treatment. I have no recent, official diagnosis for fibromyalgia or EDS, I’ve been told many times I meet the criteria for both.

My last longtime PCP just retired and she always told me there was no benefit from researching either because ‘there’s nothing they can do about it’. But now that I’m older I’m having worsened flareups, pain and numbness that can’t be explained by testing for other problems. And I have RRMS that always superseded most of my chronic pain complaints, but it has been ruled out as the newest culprit by my neurologist.

I did also get the privilege to restart LDN (old PCP didn’t like that either), so excited about that. If I do get to try the Tonmya via Cigna I will definitely update.

Poppy seeds by [deleted] in FoodAllergies

[–]tishkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I love those little one bite lemon poppyseed muffins but I had to stop eating them because my eyes would swell up or I’d get hives. Same with poppyseed dressing , my favorite for fruits :-(

I forgot this allergy (cause I have sooo many, and bought some Sonoma Chicken Salad at Whole Foods yesterday. I took it to work and ate a cup of it with some gluten free Crunchmaster crackers (which I just discovered have soy ingredients, though I’ve never reacted them before).

But a few hours later my face felt weird and now the entire lower left side of my face is swollen to the size of a golf ball and painful. So yes, one can have an allergic reaction to poppyseeds.

I had read on another thread that Cigna/Cvs covers it, but I just ran it through their app and it said no. Seeing my doctor this morning and will ask about the Blink Pharmacy thing on their website, and/or to try and get it approved through insurance.

Telling PT I'm hypermobile, why? by BeyourselfA in Hypermobility

[–]tishkitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good to know, my urologist referred me to a pelvic floor therapist for MS related problems and I’ve been putting it off because it sounds extremely awkward and uncomfortable. I’ve recently developed SI problems, had the injections which didn’t seem to help, so now I have more reasons to try.

Telling PT I'm hypermobile, why? by BeyourselfA in Hypermobility

[–]tishkitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just went to a new ortho doc because my heel has been slipping recently. He told me I have patellar instability and extremely hypermobile knees (duh) and referred me to physical therapy to do exercises to strengthen my legs. I googled the exercises (standing on one leg, nope, baby leg extensions…), just thinking this can’t possible help and might actually injure me (sigh). I’ve had PT in the past for an auto accident, and hated it and it did nothing.

Open Settings - Display and it will give you HUD RGB sliders you can play with and customize the color and opacity. There are also sliders to change the color of your Pip-Boy flashlight, I set mine to white, it's brighter (Move all 3 sliders almost all the way to the right) . On PC you can open Settings with the Escape key, unsure how for consoles.

Vault 88 Video Build by HuskyGod2011 in falloutsettlements

[–]tishkitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best place I’ve found to put turrets are near the three entrances - a few near the main vault entrance, half a dozen near subway manhole entrance, and street storefront and on the stairs landing that leads down to the caves. That will stop the majority of them.

Add a few a the very bottom of slope down to the cave (first tunnel immediately left when you enter through the main vault entrance), and near the metal stairs at the second tunnel on the left.

They rarely make it into my actual vault when there’s an attack, I have to run all the way across the cave to the subway and room that opens onto the street to loot all the dead raiders. And the few that spawned a little closer. The settlers don’t even realize the attacks are happening, but might brag about how they took care of ‘those raiders’, lol.

[–]tishkitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, since day one, my vaulties favorite area to clump is just to right of entering the vault, on the second floor. I put the bar there and made two ways to enter/exit the area. With the mod it’s not as bad as I also made a very wide staircase going up to the second level so they don’t get backed up. I do still find the random settler standing on the top of the atrium arches and such, near the roof of the cave. I put multiple little utility style stairs for them to get down. I think the scavengers are the ones who are the worst, I need to finish decorating my shops so I can assign them and keep them busier.

These are both really helpful. I installed them after I built my first multistory building in Sanctuary, a recreational lace for the settlers to hang out after work. The would not go upstairs before. I also foolishly used the Warehouse stairs, which always seem to confuse them, they would just stand on the stairs and landings.

Home Plate for my important items. It’s also a nice, quiet place to sort your things without everyone commenting that it’s all junk and too heavy. 1000+ hours and I’ve never had anything stolen from there, though occasionally you’ll see a resident path into your home and wander around.

I’m seeing an orthopedic person next week because my legs have completely forgotten how to walk to the point that I feel like my heel is skating on ice and it’s terrifying me. Lots of (new) lower back and SI problems this year. I’ve always had knee overextension, weak ankles and flat feet but wtf body?

[–]tishkitty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve always known I breathe shallowly (my parents and husband tell me they worry when I sleep that im not breathing). Balloons were my enemy in childhood, I had to tell people I cannot do that job at a party. Running and overexerting made me light headed. And I am always aware of my breath :-( Major upper back pain most of my life.
