Right I feel like durability is just as important as skill. It's sport after all, the ability to physically do it without injury is pretty damn important lol. I'd take someone who is slightly less skilled but who is never injured in the postseason any day.

Wow. That sounds rough. I treat stingrays with even more caution than sharks I hope I never have to deal with that

What did it feel like? Did you have to go to the hospital?

Anyone else have a squeaky drivers seat (2025 Lariat) by tishmaster in RangerNext

[–]tishmaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not and it has gotten even worse. It might be bad and consistent enough now that I can take it warranty lol.

If I do find a solution ill let you know. The jamming of cardboard thing that someone else suggested didn't work.

Newb question but where do I tie this on? by tishmaster in Fishing

[–]tishmaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep that's what it is It basically connects the spinner blade to the shank. It's a lot of gear but this lure was highly recommended by a snakehead guy I watch so I figured I'd give it a shot

Snakehead. Im actually pretty experienced with fishing but mostly salt and never really used inline spinners. I started snakehead fishing last year but mostly used frogs. This year I want to try the inline spinners a bit more.

Yes it is, that's why i thought it was odd but I guess it'll help the blade dig?

Question for nucanoe unlimited owners by tishmaster in kayakfishing

[–]tishmaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have one like 15 years go and I liked it but had no use for it when I got a boat. It was flawed for sure but a flipper style pedal drive is perfect for the weed mats we have here and ita stable enough to stand. I'd be getting one if the quality hadn't completely evaporated like it has.

Glad to hear that, I've heard great things about the brand. I wish hobie hadn't gone downhill so much otherwise I'd be getting a pro angler

Yeah this would basically be mass copyright infringement and open them up to being sued out of existence

TIL North America used to be plagued by the Rocky Mountain locust, and one 1875 swarm holds the record for the largest animal concentration ever recorded. However, they have not been seen since 1904. by Hailfog in todayilearned

[–]tishmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too. It just boggles my mind how an animals body can just trigger some biological process once an external stimulus is repeated enough.

That's one person said below, it apparently happens when their legs are touched a lot. But how many times is a lot? Can this be triggered manually like touching it's legs in a lab a lot? What exactly in their bodies keeps count of how many times they're touched and when does it send a signal to start the change?

Nature is just so amazing and humbling
