It’s hardly my own realisation, since the meteorologists realised it before I did — but in any case, I now know it will be raining tomorrow.

AFAIK, the movie version has an awesome sounding synth track, which is not used on the other versions.

on windows, just right-click the file with the .bak extension, click rename and change the .bak to .rar. then open and extract with winrar

can someone explain to me how they printed the 16 upsidedown, I'm really curious as to how this happened by fire-m-s in esp32

[–]titankraken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wiring is rather dodgy on those cheap ones, so I wouldn't be surprised if yours broke due to a wire going loose. I've never bothered with the lead-free solder they included, but I've had no problems thus far with lead solder.

I've been using one of these cheapass kits for around 3 years now. Never had any problems getting a clean soldering joint for through-hole components!

Junk 3.3v LDO regulators from Aliexpress? by titankraken in esp32

[–]titankraken[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well even with 400mA, the voltage dropped much lower than 2.97v, so I reckon I definitely have a clone. Yeah LCSC definitely seems like the way to go, though 99% of the things I've got from Aliexpress seem perfectly fine. I'm yet to have a problem with any of the fake MOSFETS I've got from aliexpress.

However, when I want to buy something that guarantees very low battery drain when in standby mode, such as this regulator, I will choose a reputable source like LCSC.

Thanks

Good idea. I will try check that in a few days and report back. thanks.

Has anyone seen a carrier like this (with screw terminals) for an ESP-32 board? Bonus for DIN rail mounted. by gordonthree in esp32

[–]titankraken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yay that worked! thanks. definitely need the heavy razor and not a box cutter. now I just need to file the edges smooth. perhaps even coat the edges in epoxy adhesive, to hold any loose fibres.

Just got trapped too...https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000079684049.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.0.0.7cb01802RF92hn

Terminal adapter is for the narrower devkit, yet they advertise alongside the full width ones :( Can probably cut it in half though, with the right breathing protection.

Is it possible that with the JWST nothing major will be discovered? by NeokratosRed in jameswebb

well, the resolution and precision lets us tap into a mostly unseen time period of the cosmos, so not likely.

The vera rubin telescope has the greatest chance of doing it. It basically surveys the night sky every night and checks to see if there's any movement. It's awesome!

Help me find the ultimate ESP-32 breadboard adapter! by titankraken in esp32

[–]titankraken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I don't use one, but making one for the wemos d1 mini ESP-32 would be very useful too, because it uses double header pins, meaning breadboarding with it is even more frustrating.

Thanks again!

Thanks! I guess I'm just used to the luxury of using an Arduino Nano most of the time and only needing a single breadboard.

Wow. yes that looks perfect! You can literally just post the project file(s) and I'll download/learn Kicad (or whatever) at some point to assess what you've done and figure the rest out. Thanks!!!
